Cisse latest - Mental state anyway

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Djibril Cisse is confident he will recover from the horrific broken leg he sustained against Blackburn Rovers.

The Liverpool striker is remaining positive and focused on a return to action in 2005.

"I never thought of ending my career," he told L'Equipe.

"Not for a tibia-fibula fracture.

"Even if it is the worst injury of my career, it is obvious. I just wanted not to have an ankle or knee trouble and the doctors confirmed they were safe.

"In my misfortune, I am a little lucky.

"It is not like if I would have nothing, but almost.

"Now I am fine in my state of mind.

"To me, it is not a stop, just a break.

"And we will start again next year.

"I know that. I am very confident."

Good news.

Hope he recovers well, and if the bone heels well, he shouldn't have any long term problems.

Jamie Redknapp wrecked his ankle and look what has happened to him over the years.
