monaco and marseille didn't exactly perform wonders in the french league. i believe lyon won it for the third year in a row. i agree that in europe, especially in monaco's case, they had nothing to lose. their care free attitude actually helped them against madrid because everyone new they can't defend.

aal good french players eventually move away. the best french player left in france is guily and he went off injured last night. this years champions league was the most open it has ever been. i don't think you will see two french teams in the finals for a long time again.
