Cisse - Do you rate him

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

People keep on talking about what a difference Cisse will make but I can't help but feel that its only because the papers have been writing about him for two years. Have you seen him play week in /week out or even at top class i.e. international level.

Are you worried that Manu, Arsenal, Chelsea have never shown an interest in him.

I wouldn't trust Houllier to sign a good autograph, nevermind a good player. I think people have been suckered into thinking that he's a saviour.

Henry didn't set the world alight straight away and does anybody believe Cisse is better.

I'd prefer a striker I actually know, viduka, Beattie are both strong, score goals in premiership and would be a lot cheaper.

He does look goood, but not 14 million good yano.  Ive seen him a few times in the french league and to be honest ive seen him score goals from bye the corner flag.  But no way is he worth 14 million.  An another thing it will proably take a year for him to settle in.

Hes got his own web site somewhere ill have a look and see if I can put the link on here.

You wouldn't trust Houllier to sign a good player?

Babbel, Litmanen, Hyypia, Hamann off the top of my head for a start.

Cisse has strength, pace to burn, a direct side to his game, is good in the air and can finish. Yes i do rate him. Highly. I'd be suprised if he didn't do at least as well as Saha who imo is a similar player and the player we should have gone for at the start of the season.

I'm unsure, he looks really good but so did Smicer before he came, I just hope he doesn't play him out of position like he does most players, he'll probably play centre back  :D

Gambling is common in football,
14 might not be too much for calibre of Cisse.
What matter is: do believe your gamblers know what they do with your money? :)

HE'S HIGHLY RATED THERE I JUST CHECKED OUT THAT SITE, THEY RECKON HE'S A FANTASTIC PLAYER AND PERSON (NO TROUBLE ON THE TOWN), HE'S SCORED 25 GOALS IN 41 GAMES SO FAR THIS SEASON THATS A GOOD ACHIEVEMENT THE FRENCH LEAGUE IS GOOD, CONTRARY TO WHAT PEOPLE SAY, LOOK AT MONACO AND MARSEILLES IN EUROPE! ANYWAY I HEARD LIVERPOOL ARE NOT GONNA PAY 14M UP FRONT ITS GOING TO BE 6M UP FRONT THEN 4M IN INSTALLMENTS, AND 2M BASED ON ACHIEVEMENTS ETC.
REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO HIM COMING TO ANFIELD HE'S EXCITING, LIGHTNING FAST AND ACTUALLY SCORES GOALS(UNLIKE HESKEY)
I THINK THIS IS HESKEYS LAST SEASON THANK GOD, THATS THE WORD GOING AROUND SO CHEERIO HESKEY :D
HELLO CISSE:cool:

He's obviously very quick which is something we could do with up front considering Owen seems a bit short of pace at the moment.

One thing  is worrying me though.  With the current managers preference for rigidity in a midfield that plays deep, would his quickness just be an excuse for us to lob the ball up to him?

I think most supporters would prefer to see more fluidity and movement about Liverpool but with the current midfield strategy I think a quick forward would just encourage the long ball.

I think Cisse's pace will worry defenders but Im concerned about the way we will use him.
