ffs, a wheelchair bound blind man could get into better positions than cisse, and do more with the ball.

such as: chip the keeper, instead of a daisycutting power shot, or perhaps, keep it on the ground when you are two yards from an open goal, instead of shkyrocketting it up into row fucking Z.

do i need to say more ?!?!?

I'm by no means happy at Cisses contribution this season, he has been a major let down. But my point is he still is offering more than Morientes. Which I believe is enough of a reason to get rid of Morientes if it came down to selling just one of them. If Benitez wants to get rid of both then we're all happy but between the two Morientes has to go first

Yeah, but I want Morientes to go aswell. Two goals is good, but at the end of the day he was playing against a championship goalkeeper. If he scores a couple more in the three games we've got left then there's hope. Not much, but a little.

However our record transfer buy did perform exceptionally last night and was really unlucky not to get a hatrick - hopefully Paco will work on his heading.
He held the line, ran across from full back to centre back, and kept his shots low - even his control of the ball seemed more like a Premiership footballer - as opposed to a baby elephant in the previous 9 months.

Seriously Cisse actually played like a real footballer yesterday and used all his god given talents. We all knew the boy was fast, yet too often he offered no outlet or was offside. We all knew he had a hell of a shot, yet too often we watched in despair as he flailed wildly at ball after ball flying wide or high. Yesterday though he was brilliant.

So what is the reason behind this change of form, no change of player!
Has Rafa finally got through to the great Le Sulk? Is he finally realising he is playing for his future? It is because West Ham are poor defensively? Were the West Ham players trying?

The reason I think he played well is simple, he played on the left. Lets not beat around the bush, Cisse has NEVER has a regular run in the side or a regular run up front, he is always played on the right. Last night on the left, he looked a different player. He held the line and he ran inside leading the ball on to his right foot. When he shot, he cut inside onto his right giving him a better angle to shoot at.

I think though maybe Cisses ship has sailed, he hasn't produced the goods enough this season, even if he has been messed around some times he didn't even try - however if you are a secret member Dijbil, I dare you to prove me wrong.

Funny isn't it how every time Cisse has his one good game in five, everyone brings up the debate of whether he should stay or not next season. At the end of the day it's not a case of whether we should keep him or not, it's a case of whether another team are willing to pay a transfer fee and his ridiculously high wages.

People bleat on about him not getting a run and playing out of position but there are certain things which you don't just 'learn'. You've either got them, or you dont.

Changing Cisse's position, or even injecting him with confidence wont magically grow a first touch, footballing brains, or a sense of work rate into him.

anton ferdidand made him look good buy giving him the freedom of east london, you only had to watch cissie against chelski to show what he had to offer.....NOWT............

yes he scored 2 last night and had another game like he did against wigan, maybe we should keep him and role him out against teams who aren't very good make a good video and sell him to newcastle for 20 mill when GH takes over :D

The fact the guy goes through one on one with only the keeper to beat and plenty of time the only thing he can thing of doing is toeying the ball straight at the keeper, only to be lucky enough for it to go through the keepers legs, seeing sh!t like that doesnt exactly fill me with confidence the next time the lads through one on one!

For 14 million pound can anyone think of Cisse performing at all against a top side???

if he spent more time practising technique and positioning and less time chopping and changing his hairdo, he might get somewhere

The second goal looked to me a s a dead set nutmeg attempt.  Cisse aimed for and got the spot where its the most difficlut for a keeper to stop the ball when he's clsoing the striker down quickly.  IMO it actually showed an over abundance of confidence to try and pull that shot off from there but all credit to Cisse as he was not only able to get the accuracy but also the power to pull off that shot so far away from the keeper.

Getting a bit fed up with this argument though tbh.  No offence to you Gmac but some people will never change their minds once it is made up.  To reedem themselves in the eyes of critical fans it seems a player has to perform a miracle to atone for previous poor performances.  It's just human nature I guess. Look at Harry this year, consistently one of our best but still he's got plenty of critics willing to jump on any and every mistake he makes.

I dropped in on RAWK earlier today to read their regular Spyin Kop feature on the upcoming Villa game.  Now there are some seriously disheartened fans and it certainly puts the critiscm of our players into context.  Many on here would do well to look at other teams and they might see that not every player in the squad will play to the best of their ability all of the time.  We are extremely lucky that generally, at least 8 or 9 of our players on the pitch play well every game whereas other teams might only have 3 or 4 players who play well each game.

As a team we have come a long way since last season and all our players including Cisse, Traore and Warnock have made valuable contributions this season.  We need to start giving credit where credit is due.
