The only reason Cheyrou will be returning is because the French outfit dont want him. Apparently he has been disgraceful while on loan.

What a horrific injury he's suffered!

Broke his tibula and fibula...when I watched MOTD highlights you could actually see it break...worst thing is that they slowed the replay down of where they broke!

Looked really bad...don't like to see this happening no matter who it is!

This kind of injury can end careers...

Cisse will almost certainly miss the remainder of the current campaign and possibly the start of next season as well..!

only another reincarnation of hustler.

It leaves Milan Baros as the only striker with noted Premiership experience at the club, although Florent Sinama Pongolle should be back from injury soon.

Luis Garcia may be advanced up front, but the club who were already looking to purchase a striker in the January window will now look to purchase two. With Mista having signed a new contract at Valencia, the likely targets are now expected to be Fernando Morientes and James Beattie.

I really am astonished how his leg is broken so badly with a minimal contact tackle, its not as if the guy totaly emptied him with a big kick up the leg.

All i can think of is, maybe all Cisse's weight was on that leg as he was trying to turn inside the defender, then the defenders shin contacted him the most stressed part of his leg or something.

I still cant believe it and i even had a rare dream last night about something similar.

Also, i would like to hear from Cisse as soon as possible to see what frame of mind hes in. I hope hes a lot more hopeful than some of our fellow forum members are.
