im not arsed wot anyone else thinks of this and people can critisize it but the only reason rafa is or was selling cisse is because he does not like him . I belive this is putting his personal feelings about another person before the club, cisse is obviously a world class top striker and will score hands full of goals.
Its a shame that he has broke his leg and i hope he can come back from this injury and score plenty of goals and have a happy career. cisse scored 22 goals i think correct me if im wrong, and with out these goals and his contribution we wud be - 2 trophies the (super cup and the f.a cup) and with out his league goals we wud be  a few points lower in the league.People critisize him all the time, why ?.
Just put yourself in his shoes your a striker being played out on the right wer you dont like it and spend quite a bit of time on the bench wen all he wants to do is play for this club that he loves . I would complain if i was scoring goals and people like morientes was gettin picked ahead of me and he was'nt scoring, wouldnt you ? . This Complaining by him just shows his desire 2 play for this club , because if he wernt botherd about it he wud happily sit on the bench coz he still gets paid. I belive we should keep cisse i play him upfront in his favoured position. if he canget 22 goals in a season out of position how many u think he can get in position?. Another point is Harry Kewell he is class but people dont slate him coz he scored 2 goals last season he is playing in the same position as cisse (but on the left) people only slate cisse because he misses chances, like the one against manure, but atleast he gets thease chances unlike harry kewell hu gets little chances.

Rafa's could be selling Cisse for a number of different reasons such as:

1) Cisse's poor attitude on the pitch
2) Perhaps Cisse has a poor attitude in training
3) Cisse cares more about Klub9 and his Lord of the Manor title than trying to impress Rafa into giving him a long run in the team.
4) Cisse doesn't work for the team, just himself.
5) Cisse has poor techincal attributes.
6) Whilst Cisse has scored 19 goals (not 22) he has always caused more on the pitch problems in terms of link up play and build up play.
8) Cisse mouthing off the press about "How Rafa hates his guts" and how he wants to play for Lyon.

All these things from poor professionalism to bog standard football basics and a bad attitude could well be the reasons Rafa doesn't want Cisse.

People slate Cisse because when he plays our build play and link up play is non existant, in football you have to work as a unit, not as individuals.

People slate Cisse becoz he is selfish and has the techincal skills and mental skills of a turtle on speed. His football basics like ball control, link up play, playing the ball into the box and first touch is poor, not to mention his awareness and vision. Anyone who knows a tad bit about football well tell you that for £14million we've been seriously ripped off. And now he's had two leg breaks we might never get a penny for him. (Not that it matters too much)

No doubt Cisse was an important part of the Super-Cup final and yeah for the first half of the F.A Cup final he was great the second half he just didn't look interested, he was more concerned about his boots.

Cisse's proved he's utterly useless where ever he plays be it as a striker or as a right midfielder. The fact is he still toe punts the ball as hard as he can at keeper, without placing his shots and getting accuracy on them. Sure if he whack the ball at the opponents goal ten times in one match one or two are bound to sail in.

Morientes brung more to the team then Cisse. Morientes bought experience, he had a great link up play, he tried his hardest every match and he had a great attitude and unlike Cisse, Morientes could actually master the basics of football and has a much better techincal ability, vision and awareness then Cisse, whether you like it or not.

Harry Kewell has been immense since he came back in decemeber, he's been a rejuvenated player, and he's not an out and out striker like Cisse is, so how can you come up with that conclusion is beyond me, especially when a) it's Cisse's job to provide the main source of goals, that what we pay him for and bought him and Kewell spent most of the first half of the season out with injuries.

For £14million Cisse should be able to to bury most of his chances, and especially against the big teams, so how can you portray missed chances as a good thing, I really don't know.

Poor bloke. I'm not a fan of Cisse and I did want to shift him, though that's probably not going to happen now. But I wouldn't wish that sort of luck on the most hated players, so I certainly wouldn't want it to happen to one of ours, whoever it may be. Get well soon, Djib.

Benitez accepts Cisse transfer is off Jun 8 2006

By Chris Bascombe, Liverpool Echo

RAFA BENITEZ today admitted Djibril Cisse's latest horrific injury will impact on his summer spending plans.

The Liverpool manager was banking on raising as much as £8m from the sale of Cisse to Marseille or Lyon, with talks reaching an advanced stage just hours before the striker suffered a broken leg in France's last warm-up game.

Cisse suffered a break of the tibia and fibula, ruling him out until at least Christmas, and ending the possibility of an imminent sale.

While Benitez has sympathy for the 25-year-old, from a business perspective the injury has serious repercussions.

Hopes of raising capital to launch bids for certain targets depended on the early sale of players such as Cisse.

Now Benitez must re-assess his options, and may even have to re-consider the futures of other saleable assets to ensure he's not frustrated with his summer re-building plans.

"There are two issues here," said Benitez.

"Firstly, from the players point of view I'm really sorry for Djibril. That's important. It's really unfortunate for him. But it's true it's now impossible for him to be sold.

"We were expecting to sell him to Marseille or Lyon and planned using the money for other players. We were talking to both clubs. Now we won't have this money. We won't expect him to play again until November or December."

However, Benitez insists there will be no problem for manager and player working together next season, despite it being made clear Cisse was being sold.

"It was a professional decision and we were honest with Djibril. There will be no problem when he comes back," added Benitez.

Seville's Daniel Alves - who Benitez hopes to sign imminently - and Feyenoord's Dirk Kuyt are Benitez's prime targets, with another striker, likely to be either Darren Bent or Craig Bellamy, also in the manager's sights.

Meanwhile, the Liverpool boss also believes goalkeeper Chris Kirkland should only be allowed to leave Anfield for a fee, despite the fact Wigan sources claim an agreement has already been reached to sign the keeper on loan for the whole season.

Elsewhere, Steven Gerrard rejoined England training today having recovered from a stiff back.

I saw that last night, looked nasty. Had thought it was time Cisse went as felt his enthusiasm etc. had wained somewhat.

Anyways, I hope that he can still play when the break mends, so that we can get some money for him.

And apart from anything else I think he is a nice guy.

I suppose this means that, if recovery goes as planned, he'll be sold in January.

Doubt we'll get any buyers so soon after coming back, probably have to go on loan until the end of the season to prove his fitness first.

I love the way everyone acts so concerned about Cisse, I must admit I often think you all mean it until you shoot yourselves in foot by adding (Well I hope he gets better, so we sell him and get some money).
