Not good enough, simple as. Credit to Roy though for not blindly persisting with him. Since Blackpool he's been confined to the Europa League and I expect that'll continue until such a time that Lucas' form drops. Other managers would have dug their heels in and kept him in the team almost irrespective of how he performed. You can't accuse Roy of doing that.

30 ? Old ?

I should think Poulsen thinks it's an excellent idea as well. At least he could leave having made himself a little piece of Liverpool history. The first player ever at Liverpool to be booed coming onto the pitch before he has notched up double figure appearances. I hope he keeps the record for the rest of my lifetime.

You do realise people were actually booing the decision to replace a forward with a dm when we were drawing making it look like we were going for a point - but don't let that bit of info get in the way off your crusade now . The crux of the matter is as stated when he was bought he is nowhere near food enough and we wasted a good amount of money on him at the same time .

4.5 million could have been better spent, but it was hardly the millions lost it could have been with other managers at other clubs... but there wasnt much out there for that price range, and it was seen as being a quick fix.. but yeah, hasnt really worked lol

Quick fix for what Dawson ? We had 5 cms already at the club - we spent 4.5 million bringing him in then gave away another for free - we had 6 if you included masher - it was a waste of money full stop - a player that was not needed .

Masch was always on his way, Lucas was/isn't good enough, Spearing is Championship standard and Shelvey patently isn't ready for first team football, so there's no question we needed another midfielder of the defensive kind once we'd signed Cole and had sorted that we would sign Meireles. Roy picked a "wrong un", but then again I'm not sure who I would have signed if I only had £4.5m to spend and little time to analyse all the options.

I also think it's a disgrace the way he was booed onto the pitch/sarcastically cheered coming off it. Bang out of order.
