Chris kirkland... - Time to cash in?

While he still has "potential" i think its time to cash in on the lad. He's a very good keeper with the potential to be great, but he's goin the same was Jamie Redknapp.

Potential to be one of the best and its gonna be ruined by injury.

I'd rather not take the chance no more. Its been 3 years now and the injuries are still just as rediculous as ever. As much as i like the lad as a player, i think its time he was moved on. Maybe replaced by someone like Carrson of Leeds if he's good enough.

We missed the boat with Paul Robinson.

Agree. I think he's going to be ruined with injury.

The problem with 'cashing in' is that he's currently injured and apparently requires back surgery so whos going offer us decent money at the minute?

Its a shame but i'm fed up with him now.

Has the potential still. Thats the really annoying thing.

I reckon we'd get about £4m for him.

fair comment stu......I too have this un-easy feeling that Kirkland is looking to injury prone.

Its incredible that a goalkeeper gets such horrible injuries, its not like he does much sprinting at full pelt or gets tackles hard around the ankles in games.

For once u agree with me? ???

You feeling alright?

Personally i have alot of patience and i believe in giving them all a chance if they've shown an ounce of potential. But three years of injuries is just rediculous. He's been fit for probably half of the games in that time. That might even be generous.

For all his potential, he's no good on the treatment table.

maybe we should park the treatment table infront of the goal for him to play, and if he gets injured we just wheel him off.

i`d rather have the treatment table in goal, it would be more agile and alert in dead ball situations.

I had thought the same, he is never going to have a decent spell without injury, but we paid way too much for him, can't see us getting any decent slice of that back.

I think his career is pretty much over, his injuries will make things hard for him and for us because who the hell would want to buy an injury prone keeper?

Agreed, i feel for the guy not to mention the Liverpool medical staff who probably havent seen their families in last few months but we are now in the major  liability stage.
Certainly did miss the boat with Robinson
