CHELSEA vs LIVERPOOL: 30/04/08 7.45pm - Champions League Semi Final - 2nd Leg

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

0-0's the prediction from me with a very cagey first leg. I actually think that'll not be a bad result for us as I fancy we can score down there if push comes to shove. I'm reasonably confident that whatever happens, when the dust settles it's going to be us versus the Mancs in the final. It's kind of got a destiny like feeling about it.

Last team I'd want in the final being honest Mick.  Not saying we couldn't beat them, but I'm not sure my body would recover if we did beat them with the booze I'd have to put away celebrating...

:D

Seriously.  Come on Barca tomorrow...  I've a feeling we should be enough for Chelsea over two legs.

I'd rather see Finnan at RB.  Arbeloa is pretty shacky.

Well the team is pretty much the one that every single person on the forum would have predicted I would have thought. It's definately the one I would have gone for and only the selction fo the right back and whther or not sami plays is really up for conjecture these days. It's good to see and I wonder if there is anybody left who still denies there has been a review of selection policy at the club.

As I said earlier in the thread, I think it's a huge game for Skyrtel in particular. Handling Drogba is difficult enough for the best centre halves around, and for a young fella making his way at the club it's a massive ask. Hopefully he's right on it because at his best he looks like a decnt player, his worst performace here (a la Man Utd away) doesn't even bare thinking about.

Probably for the best up against Drogba. Fingers crossed Skrtel has a strong game.

Great sig Nanny! I think having seen the success Arsenal had in the first 20 mins against us, Chelsea may comeout firing, we need to match them and come out all guns blazing. The first goal will be even more important than usual tonight, and we need to make sure we get it.
