Epic match.
Bit unlucky with ref. Shame Torres wasn't sharp.
Defense was a bit faulty. Would be good to get a worldclass defender next season.

They were not the better team, a stronger ref and we would have done it. W@nkers

No, it was about the ref.
He said Chelsea was lucky with the ref and the ref had decided the game.
That was what Rafa told Guus.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

We need to make sure we are better prepared next year if we meet them again. Barca should beat them in the semi though.

Can't stand Hiddink.  He's got the 'Martin I'm a smug cu.nt O'Neill' factor about him.  There's something I don't like anyway.

my heart is swollen with pride for these lads and this club. unbelievable effort the past few weeks . no disgrace tonight. we supported our team for beginning to end and didnt cheat. thats the difference between these two clubs. we are the biggest club in the world and not far away from being the best team. i love this club with a passion . :bowdown
shamrock rovers and liverpool are not a matter of life and death to me. they are much more important than that.

That and perhaps a 2nd leg at Anfield.

Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.

did hiddinks HT team talk pretty much consist of "right lads, were getting totally outplayed and overran, so every time a red shirt comes within 2 yards of you just throw yourself to the ground, this donkeys buyin it every time"?

the amount of decisions that went against us in the 2nd half was SHOCKING. the were stealing FK after FK around the danger areas and unfortunately got paid off for it. I think Pepe needs a look at himself for the 1st AND 2nd goals. Alexs Free Kick was hardly in the top corner and Reina seemed to be out of position for it. All in all though the lads were magnificent tonight and i thought they were by far the better side and Im serious when i say that if the ref hadnt bought the constant Chelsea gamesmanship we would have went through. Drogba is the disgrace. Did you see him ROLL BACK ONTO THE PITCH when he tripped himself in the 1st half?  Then he wins the throw that led to their last goal by jumping straight into a red shirt and the ref ignores it.

Still proof again that we support the greatest club on earth. They've down us all pround. YNWA
