if gerrard isn't fit then he shouldn't play, don't want him injured for title run in and he didn't do much last week when not fully fit.

nobody rates lucas but lets get behind them and have an hour of positivity before the game starts.

Wtf is this lineup, skrtel staying on after a terrible performance. 3 holding mids...bring on Arsenal. (I'm not saying this game is over, I'm just saying I don't want to think about it).

I'd rather have Benayoun in Gerrard's position and then either Babel or Riera on the left.

I for one'll be pi$$in me neighbours off an downin a beer or two regardless - this is Liverpool FC, not the Steven Gerrard appreciation society. Yes, we need him. We aint got him. Get over it and get on with it. Time for the squad to stand up and be counted. Lucas included.

Really pi$$es me off when a player takes that kinda stick b4 we even kick off. He aint my favrit player, but he's wearin red, in a match we need to win handsomely. Ok, this aint Stamford Bridge, he aint gonna see this, and why shud I care?

Cuz I support Liverpool regardless. Cuz tonite I WANT my team to win. Cuz tonite its about 11-14 players that get on the park and NOT one that can't be there.

WTF happened to YNWA? Even Lucas deserves that respect b4 (IF) he puts a foot wrong tonite.

I'm just wondering who plays Gerrard's position I don't think Xabi would be good up there he doesn't make any runs and just isn't that type of player.. although Lucas really isn't either I'm confused as to what exactly Rafa has planned but lets go!

Agree, Skrtel's been in awful form recently. Plus in a game where you need goals Agger might help create or score one. Don't understand this selection at all.

Might have something to do with Agger's comments about the new contract the other day, who knows.

If I want to express my disgust at the selection of Lucas on a football forum then I'll do it. It's not like I'm at the game booing him from the sidelines (which would be a disgrace).

So get off your high horse, accept that this is a baffling decision at best (and a poor one at worst). This isn't about you enjoying a few beers with your neighbours mate, it's about football. If you don't like it then fu.ck off, simple as.

So he can make the bench for Blackburn but can't for Chelsea? What was the point of wasting a space on the bench if he couldnt play anyway
