Firstly Congratulations Benfica,

In all honesty Liverpool didnt desrve to go through benfica defended really well, they cantained us all over the pitch they didnt give Gerrard an inch. our strikers are p!ss poor i am absoloutly gutted but thats football.

Benfica you must now win the CL failure is not an option atleast then Liverpool can say they were defeated by the new CL champs, but i cant see you getting pass the next round.

Liverpool have a manager that only knows defensive football. What were you waiting ? win 5-0 ? Kewell is not, anymore, the player he was in Leeds (a team which had one of the best football). Liverpool have a bad defense but Xabi & Gerrard. Reina isn't a goalkeeper for Liverpool (but he is spanish so...).

But please Miguel be honest if our strikers were performing and ON FORM we could have finished the game in the first half, Right or Wrong?

Congratulations on your win.  You deserved it, go out and enjoy it with other Benfica fans, and leave us alone.  You have shown yourself to not be a true fan, but a fan who only enjoys taunting others.  All Liverpool fans are truely gutted at this moment - and we would not do this to you, you are not a club built around lies like Man Utd, or gangster drug money like Chelsea - and we wish you well.

It was great that the fan's singing after the second goal, but they were not good enough throughout the game in my opinion. Anfield has been stale of late, need's changing.

Anyway, once I saw Traore starting I knew a f*ck up was on the card's, I had myself braced for defeat from the start, I guess that's why I'm not being hard on myself as I usually do when we get beat.

There's plenty of Liverpool fans wishing you luck and all you can do is come on to this forum and act like ars*holes. There is no such thing as good sportsmanship in most of the latin countries.

TBH our fans at Anfield made me proud at the end of the game and honoured to be a Liverpool fan. It even lessened the blow of going out in a small way.

I'm not going to go overboard about this. Look at the big picture - where we were when Houllier left and look where we are now. Yes we need to sort out the striker problem but that is not insurmountable.
