Regarding the change of sponsorship. It's confirmed already on 25/11/2005 that next season's kit would be released by Adidas:

WHILE the Carlsberg logo is to remain on the front of the Liverpool shirt after the brewer renewed its sponsorship deal with the European champions, supporters will still need to buy new replica kit next season to stay up to date after the club struck a deal to switch sportswear supplier. From July, Liverpool kit will be supplied by adidas, which endorses Steven Gerrard, instead of Reebok. The move is unrelated to the impending GBP2.1 billion merger between the two sportswear companies.

Moreover, if you refer to the onlineshop, the home CL kit was amended from "2005-07" to "2005-06".

Last but never least, wonder if this kit is welcome too at your side?  :p

Can the above be claimed as the last Reebok kit? Or should be named as the old kit with new embroidery and deluxe box? Eager to see your comments.  :idea

Doesnt seem much point in buying a shirt which will out of date in six months.I reckon i`ll wait till next season.

How the feckin' hell has this managed to slip through without any real mention anywhere in the press other than in the above article. I think it's obvious if true that the club has obviously tried to keep it quiet with the release of the new euro shirt at a similar time. If anyone knows which may be the best department of the club to e-mail is i'll drop them this article and try to find out if it's true.

I agree it does seem to go against the grain a bit and is a complete let down for those who've already purchased one and those of us wishing to get our hands on one. I'd still love to get one though but whether i'll travel allover now to try to buy one is another matter entirely.:(

I'm really happy with mine 'cos it's a great reminder of that night in Istanbul but i fell a bit let down that the club have issued this shirt as being 05-07 and then to go and change the manufacturer meaning it'll be outdated next year. At least if they'd have been open about it at least the fans could've made a more educated decision about buying it instead of being mis-lead.

We'll be getting a similar reputation as that of MAnure if we keep releasing all of these shirts!!! :D

Well....regarding the change from Reebok to Adidas sponsorship, I think that it's more a truth than a lie. I have friends here opening a shop for sporting goods and apparels. In every December of the whole year, it's about the appropriate time to seek and get the "blue print" design pictures of NEXT SEASON's shirts catalogue from manufacturers (inclusive of Nike, Reebok and Adidas).

He asked Adidas-Hong Kong about the design picture of Liverpool shirts. The contact at Adidas replied that "Liverpool shirt design blueprint will come out at a later stage, we will let you have it when ready". Note here, if the change of sponsorship is only a rumour, certainly people at Adidas won't reply in the above way, instead they may say "Hey, I think our company is NOT SPONSORING Liverpool shirts for the next season". The Adidas man won't be as foolish as to answer you "coming soon" if you request for Manure Urea blueprints of next season.

Thus I would say it's highly likely it's not a rumour, but a fact which the club wants to keep in low-profile.
