CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LAST 16 DRAW - Real Madrid vs Liverpool

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Sporting is not easy, they had a excellent academy, and have players like Liedson and Derlei, and many young and talented players.
I think Villarreal a team more easy, honestly, unbalanced team i think.

Xabi would like a trip back to the homeland

Xabi Alonso has revealed that he would like to play Real Madrid in the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Having finished as leaders in their group, Liverpool could face Inter Milan, Sporting Lisbon, Villarreal, Lyon or Real Madrid in the last 16.

“Of course, we always want to go to new stadiums. For example, we haven’t played at the Bernabeu with Liverpool and it would be a good venue to play at,” Alonso told liverpoolfc.tv.

“We have been back to Spain four times since I have been here. We won at Deportivo La Coruna and Real Betis, as well as Barcelona, and drew with Atletico.

“Hopefully if we go to Spain we can do the same again.

“Whoever we get it will be welcome, but if we get Real it will probably be more welcome.”

This draw is just screaming out for madrid .

Chelsea will most likely get easy oppositions , porto or Panathinaikos

Indeed, I'd love to play Real Madrid but they will be a completely different team when it comes time to actually play them.  Who knows if they will be better or worse but certainly not the team they are now.  Still though like people said we haven't played Madrid in a long time it would definitely be fun.   :D

I would rather get one of the big guns to be honest because we always raise our game against them and we have the 2nd leg at Anfield:;):

I would prefer to avoid Villareal, Inter and Madrid. We should eat either Sporting or Lyon. Liverpool v Madrid would make a nice final in Rome.
