Carra out and finnan out - Unbelievable

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Mon Apr 25, 2005 11:46 am

Of the Premier League team of season:

Petr Cech (Chelsea)
Gary Neville (Man Utd)
John Terry (Chelsea)
Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd)
Ashley Cole (Arsenal)
Frank Lampard (Chelsea)
Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
Arjen Robben (Chelsea)
Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man C)
Thierry Henry (Arsenal)
Andrew Johnson (C Palace)

Thought that would grab yer attention  :p  :D  :p

Gary Neville in the team of the season? Yeah right. Finnan and Paulo Ferreira have both been far far superior. I'd even give Finnan the nod as Ferreira is currently injured. And as for Rio ahead of Carra, that's just an absolute disgrace considering the former has the memory of a goldfish and didn't even play until mid september. The fact he got ripped to shreds by Dunc the Drunk should have put pay to him being in there.

Even Gerrard being there is a joke. As much as it pains me to say it, I'd put Tim Cahill in there ahead of him.

Carragher has been amazing but as amazing as he is Rio and Terry are just indescribable, they have been out of this world, i dont think gary neville should be in the team and finnan definitely should, how is heinze not in the team? and defoe should be ahead of andrew johnson, st michael your saying that rio shouldnt be in there cos he played from mid september, arjen robben has barely played half of chelseas league games yet you are not disputing his place in the team

I had a dream last night that we won 5-1 at Stamford Bridge as well... think I'll go down the bookies :p

Probably become a millionaire over night if we do that.... the odds of that happening would be ridiculous I'd say :D

I thought they were injured too! phew.

I think the team of the season is a bit biased towards english players.
