Good draw for us IMO. A home draw which is always a bonus. I don't like playing the lower league teams, those draw make me feel a bit edgy incase the unthinkable happens. It depends now on whether Rafa wants to try and win this competition or is he going to send the reserves out?

I hope he sends a strong team out because Readin will probably have a strong team out and I think as a mangaer you should try to aim to win every competition.

Also another trip to Cardiff would be nice  :D

I suppose I would like Liverpool to win this trophy but I would rather have a genuine push for the title.

suprise, suprise. The Mancs get a really easy one. Reading at Anfield should be a home win.

I think both us and reading will rest some players, i would imagine that their main aim is to avoid relegation and we are most probably gonna concentrate on the prem and champo league so i dont think either will play their strongest 11. We have a big enough squad though to put out a decent team and am sure zenden and co, maybe a few of the youngsters aswell can turn them over at anfield.

its a micky mouse cup and i would put the reserves out for it.  If we win...great, let the reserves get some games, if not...who cares.

I couldn't find this on the TV anywhere .. Reading are a decent side, well organised and hard working. Should be interesting to see who will play for us.

Has to be better than a tricky away tie, maybe enables us to rest a few players. Gotta say Arsenal and Chelsea have loseable away matches

Its a predictable thing top say but I'd like to see more of last years FA Youth cup side play in this one.  In particular Finnan should be given a rest.  Any thoughts on who you'd like to see in the side ?

I would love it if the likes Jack Hobbs, Paul Anderson, and Craig Linfield got a run.

Even though its the Carling Cup, I think with the strength and depth we have now got in our squad, we will start quite a good team. We have around 20 good players so I expect us to put a good team out with maybe one or 2 youth players.
