Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Watching Arsenal now and they are playing superb again even without an injured vierra :(
They just seem to get better an better. our stevie is just as good if not better than vierra and hopefully by the time we play them on the 28th nov cisse is as good as henry he certainly ran faster than him yesterday, and with our new players by then hope we will have a pretty decent chance of winning.Think they are the only ones I have my doubts about beating us im not bothered about man u scum or chelsea we'll do them over :;):

so...would you rather have Lehman or Dudek in your side after their latest clangers  ...that's one department where we are definately stronger than Arsenal at the moment.

I definitely think we can beat them, if we can snatch a few goals and defend solid, i don't see wh not. They have a very dodgy keeper, and sometimes they are very open at the back, even when Campbell is playing. We have the strikers who can take advantage of that.

It doesn't matter if it ended 10-3, fact is we are not Boro, and we do have a strong midfield and strikers to trouble them more than what Boro can offer.

Their weakness is their backline and they were bailed out by brilliance of Henri, Pires and Reyes.

We can beat them in a single game, yes. But they are more consistent and will have more points than us in may.

Many of my mates are Arsenal fans and I would never admit this to them but I cant remember watching a team quite as good as them. I know the old saying that any team can win on a given day but I feel we, and this includes everyone at the moment, would have to be at their best and Arsenal not. Its not just about the quality of their players its about mentality as well and watching the players after the match and Wenger its easy to see that behind the scenes they all believe they are part of something special are pulling together in the same direction, when combined with their class they are awesome.
We are just starting out again the guts have been ripped out of our squad and alot of things have changed. Hopefully Rafa can bring the same sort of mentaility at Anfield, will have the same sucess in the transfer market, groom cisse into another Henry and in a few years we can talk honestly about matching Arsenal man for man on a football pitch.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.
