Right! We gotta get a striker in January!! Can we aim for Adriano or Ronaldhino or Shevshenko?? Can we at least explore the possibilty of attracting one of world's best, or should i just accept we ain't that attractive any more?

OK so lads..... At least we are all in agreement about our ambition and true level!
Wasn't so long ago we wouldn't laugh at our ability to attract top class players. You may be happy with third rate "Owen of Carpatia" "Gerrard of Czech Republic" or some other "Very promising young striker" who turns out to be sh1ite, but I still live the dream :buttrock

While this blokes 'targets' are obviously fanciful I do to some extent, concurr with his view that it would be nice to really go in big in January. I don't know about a striker like Ronaldhino but as I mentioned a bit ago, I'd love to have a little dabble at getting Crespo. Now he is the business and would transform our team.
More realistic though is Ledley King. I've worn out the letters of his name on my keyboard so often have I advocated going for him and I notice in one of the papers today he has turned down Spurs' opening contract offer. Word is that they have offered him 35k per week and his advisors have indicated that they think he's worth at least double that. In todays market, bizarre as it may seem they are spot on and I think it is a situation that should be monitored very closely. Spurs got stung with sol Campbell and will get very trigger happy if they think the big man isa running his contract down.
Like I've said a thousand times, he is for me THE signing we should look to make.
