also Henry and Pires may be the biggest success in England but your forgetting about other leagues.  the EPL is not the benchmark you know.  Most of the top French players in the last 15 years have gone to Italy and Spain.  in these countries they have been successful.

The French youth system is miles better than the English.  nobody can deny that.

if its the french youth system that is so great, why not groom the local ones instead of having to get those from africa?
we are comparing england and france here not italy and spain so ur outta point there.

Not sure if u have noticed but not every good player out of france is picked up in Africa.

Going by the amount of youngsters we have signed in recent months from abroad I guess u think the Liverpool academy is useless then?

It would be logical to presume so, on Sky sports news yesterday they said we had bought 27 players from Spain since Rafa took over! I don't know how many players we bought from France under Houllier but it must be well into double figures, add in the other leagues Dutch, Danish, etc etc doesn't leave a lot of room for homegrown talent does it?

Logically, if you think of the amount of c.r.a.p you've been uttering, it should be YOU.
But with moderators hardly moderating anything, there is room for a little doubt, you cunning stunt.
Yes. There is a spoonerism in the last two words.

how much revenue does the french league make compared to the EPL?
how many players did france adopt from other countries to play for their national side?
how many times did a french team reach AT LEAST the semis of the ECL?
why do only 3 french clubs qualify for the ECL while england has 4?
can you tell us about the scandal OM faced in 1993?
how many french players besides henry and pires are regarded as successful in EPL?
do you really think Sochaux is better then Wigan or Birmingham?

First of all allow me to say how pleasant it is to read a post the content of which is not intended as an insult.  :;):
If you take the time to read what I wrote before, you will realise that I have never claimed that the french Ligue1 was level with the EPL. NEVER.
I admit (simply because I'm no blind guy) that the standards of EPL are higher than our french league.
The point I'm trying to make can be summed up this way :
A. In terms of sheer football skills, the difference between the 2 leagues is not as big as you think it is. If the gap was that big, french sides would be heavily defeated by english sides in european competitions, which is NOT the case.
B. Defenders in the EPL (not to mention goalkeepers..... ) can't be rated the way you rate them. It's a lot easier to score goals in EPL than in the french league. When I say that, I'm not expressing a personal opinion : that is FACT. Didier Drogba scores more goals in the EPL than when he was with us in Marseille.
Food for thought, isn't it?

It is MUCH easier to score in France than it is in England, the defending is worse and you get much more space than you ever get in England.

Our stadia get filled each week, yours are delapidated.

There are riots regularly in French football, you have extremist fans and racist chanting.

We have the most stable league in terms of security in the World.

We have 4 UCL places, you have two.

The quality of the Premiership is significantly higher than Ligue 1.

Our defending is better, our goalkeepers are better.

It's 'DILAPIDATED' actually (since you're quick to point out others' mistakes).  And I disagree.  The French football grounds aren't too bad, obviously not of the general standard of the English grounds though.

  Mr vendetta!

French football grounds are poor compared to the standard in England, but you'd jump in anyway!

whenever the official news comes through I hope it gets its own thread. I don't want to keep checking this one to see if Cisse has actually been sold or not and more importantly for how much

I should imagine you know a lot about spooning...

What you need to realise is that; in life, there's the winners and then there's the losers.

No prizes for guessing which camp you find yourself in, you bottom-breaching, b*llock-brushing, bull-buggering bender boy.

Yes. There is alliteration in the phrase above.  :;):

I must admit you've won something : you're undoubtedly The Winner of The "Most Pathetic Queen of the Year" Contest.
Talking about winners and losers, isn't it funny to see you boasting about your Liverppol fan status, LFC being the all-round loser of the season...
May I suggest another partition of humanity ? In life, there are the leaders and there are the followers. You will always be a follower.

Few things in life bring as much laughter as a boy trying to be a man.

Particularly when said boy likes to touch men's private parts.

To then add the fact that this gayboy is talking utter sh*te - well - it takes the biscuit. (Or should that be fairy cake?)

I find your assumptions humorous. I find your methods quite mundane.

I could probably find YOU squatting in a public loo waiting to be mounted by a passing hobo.

I am a follower? Is that right? Oh, jolly good. Maybe I'll avoid the headwind that way.

Now run along, you silly person.

I highly appreciate your devastating sense of humour and its exquisite refinement, and to top it all, your utmost originality. As far as portraying you guys is concerned, the best picture I could think of is a painting by Gustave Courbet entitled "L'origine du Monde" (The origin of the world).
Google it, you'll see what I mean.
Yet I think I have gathered sufficient information to attempt at a description of what you both really are....
Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce LFC2007 and Lando Griffin :
- Average readers of The Sun, honourable newspaper which enables them to have a hard-on once a day (if anything else) due to its page 3 girl
- Moved to tears when hearing Elgar's Land of Hope and Glory, as if the UK were still a major force in the world today
- Will probably shed a tear the day Margaret Thatcher dies
- Spend their summer holidays in Blackpool
- When occasionally seeing a painting by Constable, say to themselves how amazing a policeman's talent can be sometimes
- Pretend at times to be philosophers, but the result is not quite convincing insofar as their heroes are not David Hume, John Locke or Bertrand Russell, but rather Steven Gerrard or Peter Crouch instead, which says it all. Even Emlyn Hughes and Bill Shankly were better thinkers...

As a conclusion, any ordinary man with a sense of solidarity should feel sorry for them. I do.
