The bloke, by the words he's been saying, seems to have the right attitude and the right man to lead Liverpool. Let's see who he will sign, keep and offload and the results he will get with his new style of football he's going to introduce.

Got to admit I never wanted Rodgers here thought we were better than him.

However just read his last interview on Liverpoolfc.tv  Now i wouldnt want anyone else. I can see the guy being a legend here already. They way he presents himself, I think many of our players will respect the guy despite not being the most experienced.

He says he doesnt want to make his intentions known to the public which at times can be frustrating but again is great for the club.

He also pointed out he has spoken to Stvie, Jamie and most importantly Luis and is happy so thats very positive.

Hope we have a great start as Rodgers needs support from the start and if he gets that i can see him being Very very succesful here

Gylfi Sigurdsson seems to be his first signing- according to Ben Smith of the BBC.

Good?

I've only seen highlights of his performances from last season at Swansea and he looks quite impressive.  Far more creative than Henderson, Adam & Shelvey and could provide that missing link between midfield and attack that we've been crying out for.

If he comes, problem now is we have too many CM's competing for 2 spots in the team, and some of them have to go. 7 to be exact... Spearing, Lucas, Adam, Henderson, Shelvey, Sigurdsson and Gerrard. Lucas will be the more defensive CM or DM and the other CM is between Adam, Henderson, Shelvey, Sigurdsson and Gerrard. I'm not sure why we're not giving Shelvey more games. Sigurdsson will be very similar to Shelvey in a sense that they are more creative and attack-minded CM's.

We desparately need to buy an out and out winger and a striker. Otherwise the team really looks unbalanced and that was one of the main problem we had last season, playing Henderson on the right etc.

That's assuming we play a 4-4-2.  I could see us playing the 4-3-3 system with 3 very central players in the midfield- Lucas in behind, Gerrard attacking right and Sigurdsson attacking left, Suarez in an attack left or right role, Andy in the middle and a new striker/attacking winger on the other side.  Against the bigger clubs I could see a 4-5-1 with Andy or Suarez alone up top, or Suarez dropping to the right wing and the same 3 cms.

Plus we all know there's no way Stevie will stay fit the whole season.

I agree, but it's not that simple, I doubt many clubs will be knocking on our door to sign these players.

Norwich, West Ham, the newly promoted or strugglers etc.. would but they don't have money.
Fulham. Wee Jay could join up with his brother Danny Murphy.

Thanks mate!

great to hear that he and Suarez had a good chat, I think B-Rod would want to build a team around Suarez
