Respect Evertonbabe you must love your city very much.

Im not a tory nor likely to be so I hope Boris never has a top public job again (he should stick to making a t.it of himself on Have I got news for you).
Where is the Love.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

I'm just wondering.....did anyone actually E-Mail that Boris Johnson?

Everton_Babe

Sure did.
Have a look at the 6th post, I copied the email that I sent to the misguided nerd.
I also copied it to his boss Micheal Howard at the Tory Party.

I reckon this is also connected with the North/south divide. The guys in London don't have a clue and Liverpool is just used for their political gain.

I come from Glasgow, we have our own Parliament now, because we don't wan't people from London messing with our country and city, when they have no understanding of life outside of a big egocentric metropolis.
You should do the same in Liverpool, Scoucers and Scots have alot in common.

i dont think it has anything to do with the North/south divide i think the guy is just a p***.
dont forget that the North/south divide is more in the minds of the people in the north, people in the south dont mind the north of england in fact i think most of the are trying to move there. and the north has just as many well off place as the south, if you take places like Cheshire and compare it to say Essex its about the same. in the lake district there are some of the most expensive in england.
i think its a bit like the england and scotland thing, the south like the north but north dont like south

I think its one of these differences that remains very subjective and each can argue from their own perspective. I also don't disagree with what you say but having lived in both areas I gotta say there is more wealth in economic terms in the south.

There are also a certain type of people in the south, London in particular, who like to look down on people from Northern cities as some kind of un-worthy underclass, there to be mocked and used to undertake dirty work, fight wars etc. Boris Johnson is certainly one of that breed.

Yep didn't Michael Moore do a documentary about how the guys in the army in the Gulf are being used as canon fodder. Theyr'e recruited from the poor jobless areas and sent out to Iraq to fight an unjust war.

The problem now is that Bushy and Blurr don't know how to exit it in a dignified way, so Bushy is now tellin Britain to send troops to their hot spots cos Bushy's gettin political flack back home for the deaths accumulating and of course its election time...funny that eh..the ba*stards!

I dont think it is a nort south thing. The comments were from the spectator with generally middle class journalists who use stereotypes to get a laugh.

The only thing is that a lot of these people are recent football fans who have no recollection of the game before the premiership and all seater stadiums.

The other thing is there are a lot of people with no concept of community especially from the leafy areas of the south east.  I used to work with a lad from Croydon and helped him move one weekend and met his mum nice enough Woman but I told her about where I was from etc and how you know your neighbours etc usual bollox but it was totally alien to her  that you actually socialise wth people in your street. BUt if youve been to the East End theres still that society and in other pockets of London.

The angry thing for me is that in a dinner party a lot of people would genuinely agree with that prat but genuinely wouldnt consider themselves ignorant or bad people.

Im not into class war or living in the past but we all have to remember our history both good and bad

Getting back at this dick is not through threatening but by showing up his ignorance

Many of the southerners who have preconceptions about the north have actually very little knowledge of the north and rely on an outdated stereotypical view of cloth caps, whippets & bingo perpetuated by this country's London-centric media.

Too many northerners, it's sad to say, have been tainted by the media's portrayal of them and need to focus more on the strengths of the north, rather than merely dismissing southerners as posh toffs or shandy-drinking poofs.
