I do remember Rafa being described as being Shanklyesque by some a couple of years back, they were serious too. There is still time of course for Rafa to show he has what it takes to be regarded as being "hugely successful" ( as he was described the other day) by everyone and not just people who get a bit carried away.
When Rafa is given ATLEAST 200 million pound to invest in our team and he fecks it up then he must go.
People are expecting miracles on a less budget than the mancs & Chelsea we will not win the prem until we have the type of player these two teams have.
The miracle of istanbul is just what it was A miracle.
But the prem is a marathon not a sprint and people are expecting him to win it just cause he won us the CL.
We are spolied now we are taking the CL for granted like we have always been the usual suspects in it.
What short memories these people have Rafa has put us back on the map in that competition.
A bit of apriciation wouldnt go a miss instead of Rafa out Kuyt out chants all the time.
Would Mourhino have won the league with our team when he took over Chelsea NO.
Would arl Gin Soaked b@stard NO.
If some people dont take a shine to someone then thats it they dont get another chance its just get rid hes cr@p!!!!

thats like saying rafa had a team capable of winning the champions league when he started, however when dalglish took over we had no european football and no chance of attracting players who wanted european football, but he still had a win rate of over 60% and only left in my opinion because hillsborough finally caught up with him, the strains started to show, that man was and is a f*cking footballing colossus and a true lover of liverpool football club and to suggest that benitez is above the king is f*cking laughable
its all well and good sticking to your guns to prove a point but when it makes you look stupid its time to stop, if we want to be really stupid we can say that rafa has taken us downhill since he came since we have won nothing for two years while winning trophies the previous two years

crazyhorse wrote:Oh, and RAFA does not compare with any manger in our past. The game has changed too much, it is stupid to compare them. You can only compare success and he has not had enough. Period.

I think you've taken him out of context here Peewee, his post
was quoting someone else and S@int was backing up Kenny.

Nothing wrong in changing your mind, as long as you don't do it too often, and I don't think thats something we could accuse Lando of !
s@int wrote:So why did Kenny get fired from Newcastle, then?
Why has he not bothered taking another managerial job?
Kenny Dalglish had a ready-made team of champions when he started, numbnuts.
If these are the comparisons you wish to draw, we'll be here all night.
Maybe because he spoke out about having to sell all their best players and replace them with free signings?
Maybe because he was p!ssed off at they way he had been treated?
He had a ready made team, and did the double, then he rebuilt the team in two years and won the league again.
Don't start on Dalglish mate, he never finished less than second in his years as a manager with us.
league champions 85/6 87/8 89/90
Runners up 86/7 88/89
FA CUP 85/6 88/9
Runnners up 86/7
He did the double , and only just failed to win iit again on two more occasions. Losing on goal difference to Arsenal , and Wimbledon in the FA CUP FINAL.
He then won the League with Blackburn (only the second manager ever to do it with 2 clubs.
Then when he went to Newcastle he finished second in his first season, and got them to the FA CUP final in his second.
Sacked after 2 games in his third season
