Babels looking sharp but his crosses are mediocre at best.

Yeah you're right there but he needs to cut in as much as possible in IMO, think then wel see more chances like the one he had just a minute ago.  Kuyt on the other side seems to be preffering to cut inside rather than go wide also.  Thats what makes me think its more 4-3-3 than 4-5-1.

Excellent.... about time we went for a more attacking set-up....

Let's see if the 3 centre mids can gel.

A bit strange pushing Carra out right though... Is Finnan and Arbeloa injured or just on the bench?

They've done ok.  Not too much oppositin from there CM's but Alonso looks alot sharper than he has of late and although Mascherano started a little cagey he seems to have settled down now.  Interesting to see that Masch is playing a more advanced role than Alonso, i expected that to be the other way around.  Anyone else noticed how Alonso is almost in front of the back for and Gerrard and Masch have more license to go forward?

Brilliant news.... I've been waiting a while now to see Alonso back to his best. Cheers Zidane-Agger.

Carragher looks very shakey at RB.  Looks like Bolton have picked up on it aswell, all there attacks seem to be coming down that flank.  A few moments of indecisiveness and a few misplaced passes.

Agree , he's not used to that role . shud have rested hypia and played carragher in the centre back role and put finnan out right

Another decent chance for Bolton there.  I think they'l feel hard done by i they go into half time behind.  Cahill really should have hit the target there, Reina made a fantasic save and they hit the bar with a free kick early on.  On the other hand Babel probably should have scored there.
