I gave on up on chasing Chelsea and the Manc Monkeys a while back. We are realistically fighting it out for 3rd place IMO.

That is true, we have a lot of stiff competition from Pompey,Bolton,Arsenal,etc.. for 3rd place at the moment. I expect that Portsmouth and Bolton will fall off some time during the second part of the season.

We needed to get at least a point today.

Although a poor result, cant fault the players for effort. Bombarded the Blackburn nets in the second half, only for Brad Friedel we would have mauled them. Hopefully a minor blip and we should get back on track against Spurs on saturday

Bellamy was very lively and should have been partnered by Kuyt from the beginning, Crouch was so immobile to capitalise on Bellamy's good work.

I don't know why Gonzalez was left to play for so long, he was totally ineffective. Fergie brought on Ronaldo right at the very start of the second half when the mancs were struggling to score in the first half. Sometimes Rafa leaves his changs a bit too late. :(

It's not a real consolation for us but Watford have equalised against Arsenal, now its 1-1.

It has something to do with Kuyt not playing all that well in the last two games. We also have a lot of games coming up.

Kuyt has been wasteful in front of goal as much as Crouch was today.

Crouch is also our leading goal-scorer don't forget that.

To be honest, this has been coming for a while, we create enough but consistently hit the middle of the goal straight down the keepers throat.

Charlton away we could and should have hit double figures, Fulham at home in the first half we wasted chance after chance, Pompey as well

Sod's law dictates that soon, someone will score against us and then the whole game changes. This was the case today, you could see the lift Blackburn got from their goal.

3 points dropped but 3rd is still where i fancy us to finish, but we NEED to be more clinical

Im absolutely shocked that we didn't win today! Chances after chances missed!!! Blackburn were cr@p! they played dirty but they took their chance from a lousy defencive mistake we did. I'm sorry to say but it was Carra's fault that the goal went in. If you look at the replay, riise, hyppia and agger were in the same line, but carra was behind them! I'm sure he will learn from this! really stupid way to concede a goal. We really played well, but the misses!!! it was frustrating.

I thought bellamy was excellent once again, he really terrorized the defence with his running and chances.

The thing is we need to find our finishing consistancy, we have been very inconsistant in front of goal, we just need to find that consistancy that would make us challenging for the title. Not to worry all will be fixed against Tottenham on saturday.

There is also one problem that I would like to adress, I think we are playing too quick that is making not score any of our chances.

Question, why is the BBC 606 comment boards filled with idiots?

"Apart from Alonso and Gerrard, none of the players are good enough for even Bolton's team"

"Rafa should go back to Spanish, it's home"

Before this game we scored 13 in 4 games which is an average of 3 per game. Gerrard picked up great form when he was in the middle of the park and now once again he was switched to rw. Why has it been done pennant was fit and could have played. These kind of tactics annoy me

mmmm.... ManUtd had C.Ronaldo... the world's best winger and probably one of the best players in the world today... an in-form player with the ability of providing match winning performances whenever hes on..
who do we have in that bench ? luis garcia ?!
dont get me wrong...i like the guy... and of all the players in our squad, its him and gerrard who can actually come up with match winning moments of brilliance imo... but realistically speaking... we lack the quality the likes of manutd and chelsea and perhaps even arsenal possess !
im not defending rafa... he made plenty of mistakes this season that have cost us plenty of points imo... but still, i think the main reason of us losing to the likes of blackburn and bolton with other big clubs having no trouble against them is down to the quality of our players !
Still, you hear all the "we should not buy any more players in the next seasons to allow our players to adjust" !
We need to improve the quality of our players...
its just basic understanding... thats why there is a difference between Chelsea, Liverpool and Charlton... all about quality !
