Great result for us that draw, if the mancs would have won I thinbk we could have kissed the prem goodbye for another season.
Now win today and our game in hand and we are still in the mix.

We've got a chance to get to within 4 points of the top today. IF the players seriously want to prove they have the ability to challenge for the title then they MUST come away with a win.
Will we with the available players?
Unfortunately I doubt it. Our away form has been good this season but our inability to find the net on regular occasions suggests a draw is the best we can expect today.

Far far too early for talk like that girl.

Good result for us yet, but a win for either side wouldn't of decided the league in November!!

We are still actually in the mix at the moment for the league which is a big big improvement on the previous seasons under Rafa's regime, and although we have been a bit shit recently, we still have the squad and the manager to challenge effectively for this years league championship.

Onto the Blackburn game, I can't see us coming away with all 3 points here I am afraid. Blackburn look good and Mark Hughes has made them into a very professional football team, with good players and good tactics. Their back four in particular are all good solid defenders and with Torres out, it will be difficult for us to break through their back line. Voronin cannot start this game for me, Rafa seems to like him and he is fine as a back up striker or for the lesser teams but Blackburn are flying high and we need to try and come away with all 3 points, because of this, I would hope Rafa would play the one up top of Crouch and Gerrard at the tip of a 5 man midfield. It pains me to see but at present, Gerrard is our best (and only ) attacking threat at present, so he has to be in a position to damage them. Crouch who has gone from flavour of the month to the Anfield exit doors(only in the (hichic) fans eyes) in the space of a few months has to start as he is excellent at holding the ball up for gerrard to get forward.

I reckon a bore draw of 0-0 or even a sneaky win for Blackburn if we start Voronin and Kuyt up top together.

2-0 Win for us, its only Blackburn ? Hardly a top team. Yes I know we have slipped up this season against poorer teams than them, but from NOW the Blackburns etc are the type of teams we should be beating, I don't care where they are in the league or how well they are playing. Leave Everton to worry about the "Small Clubs" ???

Blackburn are a team in form and have home advantage....
If we have Kuyt and Voronin starting I think we are toothless up front !
A  draw wouldn't be a bad result

It's win or bust for me. This is a tie we desperately need to win to stand any chance of winning the league. A win puts us right in the mix and within the leading pack (how many points were we behind top spot at this point last year?). Lose, and while I won't say we can't win the league, it's going to be hard to claw that point defecit back concidering the form of the other 'top 4' teams of late.

Do you really feel that we can win it this season ?
We all want this to be the case but given our injuries and the way we are playing I think a closer points difference to the eventual champions compared to 2007 would be more realistic.
I know we spent a lot in the summer - but so did a lot of other teams. We are not the only players in the market , even outside the top 4 there are teams with substantial financial backing.
And for all the talk of our expenditure this summer ( Torres , Babel ) don't forget that we did recoup some cash from the sales of Bellamy , Cisse and Gonzalez.
