i think the formation we played last night gives us more options than 4-4-2. it also means that letallec could be played behind the strikers. who was the biscan imposter who played last night? he was all over the pitch, did anyone else notice that? chris bascombe thought he was the best player of the first half.

he may of played well in a pre season friendly against a no one team but we need to see it week in week out in the premiership, to many of Houlliers signings shine when in friendlies or reserves but can't make the same impression in the league! Think we need a few more quality signings and give the likes of Le tallec, Pongolle Baros a chance or any other quality players in their prefered positions!

the thing with biscan is that he plays the game UGLY. He's very ungamely/ awakward and runs like Darren Anderton....
Hence when he has a bad game/ makes a bad pass he looks awful and when he has a good game/ does something well he looks... ok-ish, like last night.

As to whether he's good enough to play for Liverpool. I think there are better holding midfielders out there if thats what rafa wants. One things certain... igors no central defender.

Maybe he's the answer to who partners Gerrard in the middle...

Not my cup of tea and not the sort of player i'd want but he's always (imo) had untapped potential and he's always done things (even when generally being ******) that makes me think this. He's actually quite skillfull, carries the ball well and has decent athletisism. Maybe Benitez could make him into a player.

Time will tell i supose.
