Ps. I've got this gut feeling we will get Chelsea in the Semis or Final.

Well, what can you say to that?

In fairness to Brum, 2 of our goals were from a keeper error and another an own goal so even 7-0 flattered us a bit.

I, as you all are, am absolutely delighted with this result. I honestly was willing to take a draw and do them at Anfield - that's how much I hate playing Brum. Our passing and movement at times was magnificent and the fourth goal should be put in a frame and hung up in a gallery, it was that much like a work of art.

Brum are, realistically speaking, f*cked and with Man U coming up, I can only see things getting worse for them. I for one will not miss them when they go down as we generally struggle against them.

So where does that result put us within the FA Cup?

At the start of the season, I would have gladly accepted a decent run in the Champions League (which we, IMO were one round short of), 4th in the league, and poss the FA Cup. I for one have longed for a good FA Cup run as it's been 5 years since we had any sort of decent chance at winning it. Our forwards are hitting form at a fantastic time, not just with the FA Cup, but with our run-in to secure at least 3rd.  The team is working like a trojan for each other and even the fringe players are doing well when asked. From here I think we can win it, but I think we stand our best chance of winning it if one thing happens.

We meet Chelsea in the Final.

We've only lost one major final under Rafa (that Club champ thing don't count, never has, even though I was in stitches at how Rafa corrected the reporter after the match as to what we have won this season) and that was the Carling Cup, where, really, we threw it away. That, I believe, still hurts a lot of players, as does the constant depression we have against Chelsea in the league. These factors are the reason why I believe our best chance is to 'face our demon' so to speak on the big stage.

To finish off, I will say one thing - what a difference a couple of weeks make, eh? This football's a funny old game! :eyebrow  :D

Anyone still think we haven't got enough goals in the side to finish the league campaign unbeaten? :p

Absolutely awesome result. These scorelines have been coming for a long, long time.

just got back from the pub, early start tomorrow u know? or id be spending the night there.........

couldn't even dream of a scoreline like that. Half the goals were defensive errors, but i sure as hell aint complaining, the rest of the goals were brilliant.

Its about time lady luck showed us that she has a nice side to her....walk the fucc on.

I had to keep checking in the left hand top corner of the screen to make sure I was watching the right game.
want to here a funny thing I hope we get Chelsea ive not got any doubt we can best then only thing that ever stopped us was our strikers not able to score goals . I want us to be the ones to knock Chelsea out.
Walk on lads.

Take off those goals then Feeney and 4-0 is a poor result is it?  Perhaps a less negative way of putting it would have been "4 of our goals were well worked and finished neatly by a team who looked to be cruising the whole game, the other 3 goals were a bonus!"

You've got to wonder sometimes.... :glare:

No offence meant though mate - just having a bit of a grumble at negative posts this week in case you haven't noticed. :D

IMO it doesnt matter when we meet Chelsea, they are the only team to beat left in it.  Beat them in the semi's and we're favourites to lift the cup.  I watched Cheslea against Fulham and saw a tired Lampard, a Terry playing without confidence, Huth who really shouldnt be in the Chelsea sqaud, an ineffective Crespo, a cheating Drogba and a manger who's starting to crumble and appear very one dimensional. Now's the time to play them IMO.

Other semi-finalists we could face are the Hammers, Newcastle, Charlton or Borough - while not wanting to seem over confident, on current form we can take any of these teams to the cleaners too.
