Zenden and Bellamy did waste countless chances.

At least Bellamy got in the right places to have the opportunities to score, finishing was poor tonight but I'm sure the goals will come from him.

Thought Agger was superb tonight, looked like a real class act. Best I've seen Zenden play in a Liverpool shirt and Dudek was also excellent.

Gonzales played ok, not great from Pennant. Liked the look of Peltier and Paletta.

Overall, pretty comfortable win, 5 in a row - now need number six at Arsenal on Sun!  :D

i can understand what your saying, i personally don't rate bellamy at all, never have, he hasnt played the best for his previous clubs, and even for his country.

someone at that sort of "professional" level shouldn't miss a penalty like that, he even stopped too. the goal keeper dived, and thats it, you shoot in the other direction.

nope, not our amazingly talented bellamy

You're being rather harsh, he's lacking confidence, a fully confident Bellamy would have buried that penalty with ease and I believe he was on top form last season for Blackburn.

i can see where you're coming from, i guess i'm being harsh, but its just annoying sometimes. I know that he's lacking confidence and form, but he could do so much better.

and Fowler wasn't that great today! I was expecting so much more from the two forwards, I guess that's why I'm being harsh, but I was so pleased with Peltier and Agger :) great looking future for Liverpool with young talent like them!

Definitely think Bellamy will prove the doubters wrong, he will come good soon and end up scoring a lot of goals for us. He was just starting to find form before his injury recently.

Momo looks like he'll be out for a while, maybe Gerrard will play in the middle on Sunday - or possibly Zenden will keep his place there after tonight's performance?!

I hope Gerrard takes his place, he's deserved to play where he's wanted too for a while. Gerrard and Alonso in Midfield, work wonders with each other.

I really feel we'll miss Momo against Arsenal though, coz he breaks up the play so well and against a great footballing side you need that aspect of play.

Agree would like to see Gerrard in there with Alonso - but needs to be a Stevie G back to his old aggressive, hard tackling style of a season or two ago. Could do with a energetic, driving performance from Stevie at the Emirates.

I dont mind Gerrard and Alonso in the middle, I just dont fancy having to play Pennant on the right, but what other option have we Anderson?

Working tonight so I didn't get to see the game.... Gotta be happy with a win and don't think the performance is much to be bothered about in a cup match, Sunday's side will be quite different so let's look forward to that one. Another clean sheet and into the quarter finals, all in all, a good night's work.

the team will have to be on tip top form at The Emirates, and our away form hasn't been that great so far. But we're on a roll, and we'll keep on that roll for a while :) I hope. Lets just hope that there aren't any more major injuries, because Liverpool seem to be a cursed squad when it comes to either little, minor injuries or really severe ones.

i hold my hand up and say...zenden was a star tonight. gonzalez worked hard and dudek played a blinder. add that to a pair of solid centre halves (both Agger and Paletta shone) and we got what we deserved. an industrial rather than an inspirational; ground out away win.  shame about Sissoko, i wish him well. as for bellamy, in particular Pennant.... :glare:
