Baros has no potential and Morientes is class.

Form is temporary, class is permanent. Lyndsey, don't talk rubbish girl, watch the lad play, look at the amount of goals he scored the season before last when he was fully fit and playing regularly with Vassell and look at the part he played in Villa's goals.

The lads a damn good footballer, he's not top class, but i'd take him above Baros any day of the week.

Agree with Stu, always liked Angel. Graham taylor never gave him a look in , and as soon as O'Leary came in he's given Angel the confidence he's needed, and he excelled last season. Was quite poor this season to be fair though, needs to work on his fitness levels a bit and perhaps he needs a new lease on life at naother club.

He clearly has the talent, but is a bit temperamental. TBH if Villa offered him to us at 4-5 million I'd take him. Being Colombian, he would fit in quite well culturally with the Spanish lads, and perhaps Rafa would be able to give him the confidence he needs. Angel really could do well at Liverpool I think. Better option than guys like Crouch IMO.

Mate, if you have no idea what you are talking about on an issue, which you clealry don't, then don't bother posting and confirm how silly you are.

Basically.Baros is in a position you call a Striker.
And the basic job of a striker is not to run around chasing the ball. That's a defender's job.
A striker's only duty is to shoot the ball in the net and score. If he fails to do so,he is not good.
Case closed.

And what is that?Besides assisting another person to score.Basically,a striker is to help the ball get in the net.

PS:I said...BASIC job.

Thomas. thierry henry is a striker... but he does alittle more than just goal hang. the gary linekars of this world are a dying breed my odd little friend.

ok, well since most teams tend to play a 451 formation nowadays and also have attacking midfielders a lot of strikers play a lot wider than before. they can also be used to drag the opponents defenders out of the game and give some more space to the oncoming players from their own team. A striker will also have to come back and help defend.

Basically, a striker does not just stand still and hit his foot like a fussball table striker. there is depth to a strikers game.

So apparently a striker should make no runs whatsoever, have no involvement in link up play, just stand in the 6 yard box and wait for the ball to come so they can tap it in ay thomas???

Maybe in under 8's this is what a striker does, but their is a little bit more to football than you might think.  :D

Of course they have to.When I say"Make sure the ball goes into the net",I mean "by all means, chase and score, stand in the right position and score" or "help your teammates to score".And the keyword is "score".

A stiker can Defend aswell you know Thomas.A striker scores goals, tracks back, runs at defenders,Try and get the ball off defenders and run round so you get the defence tired. And anyway Thomas if you just stood on the 6 yard line and a ball came in you would be offside. Are you a Kid or sutin
