Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Quoted from www.liverpool.com, do you believe this?.
Two days ago, if i'm not mistaken, Cisse was still no.1

"WHO would be the best partner for Michael Owen?

   Emile Heskey
   59.16%
   Milan Baros
   10.95%
   Florent Sinama-Pongolle
   1.32%
   Djibril Cisse
   16.40%
   Alan Smith
   12.17%

Was it about the latest game?
Do you agree with this poll?

Polls will always keep changing, andsaturdays game was the reason we are all so frustrated with heskey. Everyone knows that on his day Heskey can trouble any defender in the world, its just a major confidence thing with him. On the form he hit on saturday we cant afford to sell him,. but taking into account the rest of the season wed be mad to keep him!

We can't just keep Heskey cos he has 3 or 4 good games a season cos we need some one who is going to play well for most of the season, I agree with you Dawson that he can trouble any defender on his day but unfortunately that day doesn't come often enough  :(

If only Emile could understand how good he actually is!

He frustrates everyone and i'm sure that includes himself!
Problem is we need a player to perform the whole season and unfortunately Emile doesnt do that!
THe last few games he has started to get himself and owen going again but too little to late is all that is left to say!
I would like him to stay as back up for Owen and Cisse as i dont think Milan Baros suits Liverpool FC!
And i'm sure he will become downhearted to be on the bench for the majority of next season!

Where ever he is next season i wish him all the best!

definitely. thre'd be no reason to sell him if he produced that sort of form every week, but he just doesn't do that

Cuz its true heskey just cant produce consistent performances.
He is either great like on saturday or rubbish like he is most games.
Baros still hasnt been given a real chance alongside Owen and I dont suppose he never will with Cisse coming.
Just cuz he aint a target man doesnt mean he couldnt play with Owen as we need a target man more than most teams due to the constant long balls played from the back.
Change the style and Baros could play with Owen no problem but houllier would then have to admit he was wrong in the 6 years he has been here but we all know he just doesnt admit his mistakes EVER.
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.

OKAY, HE ISN'T CONSISTENT AND SHOULD. BUT I THINK HE SERVED THE CLUB WELL ENOUGH TO GET SOME RESPECT

keep houllier sell heskey!
we have cisse coming here thanks to houllier, cisse will easily bang in twice as many if not more goals than heskey, and provide owen with brilliant service by taking defenders concentration off owen and onto himself!

Agree, why keeping him due to his 2 recent performances only while many past matches had proven enough who is he. Sorry, Heskey, but you've got to go.

he has scored last two games if he scores against newcastle (i know its scary) does it mean he is back on form.

I think his a keeper (i mean keep him not that his a goalkeeper) even if cisse comes.
