I remember the Barnsey goal well - he credited Graham Taylor telling him he couldnt head it as making him go for the header. Best Liverpool goal I ever saw was not captured on film - Jan Molby against Man U in the Milk Cup in the 80's. He took it off Whiteside on the half way line, advanced to the edge of the box and slammed it in to bring the roof down at the Kop end. We won 2-1 and I still remember it now! Anyone else who was there? ???

Ronnie Whelan v. Man United in 1983 Milk Cup Final.

Best header: Mark Lawrenson against Spurs in 1982 (the day we clinched the title).

Best goal against: Graeme Sharp (mid '80's in derby game).

My other favourite besides the Jan Mobly effort was Stan Collymores debut winner against Sheffield Wednesday - turned the man brilliantly then slammed it home from 30 yards. One of our most talented forwards but a basket case of a personality!

OK-a liverpool goal which sticks in my mind. A great team goal rather than an individual one.

Dalglish gets ball back to goal about 15 yards inside oppo half. His first touch is with outside of right foot and he turns defender. First time perfectly measured and weighted diagonal pass to Rush, who hits it first time across keeper and into corner.

The goal Babel scored yesterday was great. So many passes leading to it.

Of course MOTD cut out the movement of passes leading to the goal, because obviously according to the BBC Charter, only Arsenal can be shown passing the football around a pitch.

Didn't Ronnie Rosenthal score with an overhead kick in a big cup match?

Anyone remember it more clearly?

Always remember Barnes' backheel against Crewe I think it was. And Ronnie Whelan's goal against Coventry away in 1989, must confess I had to get a ticket on the gate for the home end which is shocking that they couldn't sell it out. Worth the trip, bunch of pessimists discussing not who'd win but how many Liverpool would win by!
