I guess what happened to the mancs this season could have happened to us or Arsenal. They had a soft schedule to start the season, didn't play all that great but gradually played themselves into some form, found some confidence and haven't looked back since. They have ridden an amazing season from Ronaldo (as we did last year with Gerrard), Scholes return was like a new signing, Vidic and Evra have really stepped up and just about everyone else in the team from Giggs to Saha and even Carrick has performed to a consistently high level.

It certainly illustrates just how important the first 5/6 games of a season can be. But then again i remember the 2003-04 season when we started with something like 9 out of 10 wins only to fall quicker than a elephant jumping out of an aeroplane!
