Manhattan just had a good idea.

From now until September 15th, every Liverpool player and all the staff who sit on the bench at pitchside, including the new assistant, should grow a Rafabeard.

When we play Pompey in two weeks, we will gain a psychological advantage.

And all the players and fans that go to the ground must have one too. If not, a Rafabeard will be available for sale at the fantastic price of 99 grand outside the stadium. Those who cannot afford will have to use the pen they knicked from the dole last time they signed on, as these pens seem to be special and do not run out of ink, so one should do all.

Can't help but thinking, this time last year, all and sundry were calling for Rafa's head. Have to admit, I was none too pleased with the man myself.

cash doesn't come into it really mate, if he stuck with our strongest team last season we would have finished with more points, thats where he messed up last time. he swapped strong players for weaker players wholesale at times last season, this season we are swapping quality for quality.

he rotated for the sake of rotating, it was nothing to do with lack of money last season. now the rotation is not such a problem, this is where the cash comes in, he has bought, strengthened the squad and we are now capable of rotating without significantly weakening the team.

the point i am making about last season is 'if you don't have it you cant use it' but rafa tried to use what he didn't have and it messed us up, common sense tells you if you are in a car race you will win with a good team and a good driver, you wont win F1 in a mini mate so there is no point in trying to. thats where common sense comes into it

Sorry Peewee mate, but that's a crock....
Compare the bench on Sat. with this time last season. Momo, Riise, etc. on the bench. Carra and Gerrard not even fit. Crouch not even on the bench....All of whom were first choice last season. Look at the starting eleven and those who came on - Torres, Babel, Benayoun, granted Arbeloa was there last season. Mash who wasn't an automatic starter,.....Methinks your argument doesn't wash....

Anyway, let's not split hairs.....
I need to get a hold of a ticket for a game or two before the end of the year....Got a wean on the way in Jan and the missus won't let me next or near a game after that !! Problem is, that phone number is a waste of time....anybody got any suggestions ? Any season ticket holders out there feel like doing a fellow fan a favour ? IM me and let me know....pretty please.....

i think you didn't read my post properly mate

i said this season there is no real problem with rotation as we are rotating good players for good players, whereas last season we were rotating good players for weaker players, last season we rotated as an act of stubbornness on the managers part, he rotated when we didnt have the squad to rotate. this season we do have the squad so rotation is less of a problem
