Nice one!!!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I still don't think he is good enough. Riise in my opinion is a much all rounder flank mid-fielder. Riise playing on the left pose a greater danger for the opposition. Riise is a work horse, he can run all day, has a fantastic left foot, swing in good crosses, have the ability to dribble and take on defenders and how about those long throws.

Riise to take over the left flank?

It doesn't amaze me that alot of you dont actually think for yourselves, just get on the band wagon about Kewell. If you looked at his performances with an unbiased veiw you would notice he is quite a good addition to the team. He sets up alot of good moves and gives good service to the strikers. It seems to me that unless you see him charging to the goal and scoring a sunday replay you think he is underperforming.

Riise went what? 18 months without one goal.  Kewell if I remember correctly this time last year before an injury was our second best player behind gerrard. He even had the most goals for the team. So to say you havent seen anything except average and bad performances proves you are biased and I do not credit your contribution at all.

Open your second eye, one eyed fans, and take a closer look at kewell and forget the highlights of a leeds career and think he is a new player. Yes he isnt as good as he was, but he is still good. I know I couldnt cope with all this hate from people who are supposed to be "fans" of my team, and I hope he can. (fan short for fanatical supporter...heh, right)

Football is a simple game, all you have to do is pass the ball to a player in a red shirt.

RIGHT FORMULA?

Too early to judge..what i can judge is that, we are definitely on the right track towards finding the right formula...

It is difficult to find one's "right formula" as the topic of this thread says, if one is lumbered with mostly average to above average players and the club has not too much funds. It is compounded when you have talented players who are deprived of motivation. Early on in the season, Kewell falls into this category.

Benithez has the right playing philosophy and is trying his best to instill his ideas into these above average players. He has a few gems - Stevie G is one of them - but most of the lot are average and inconsistent. To date, Liverpool have managed 3 league wins in a row, which we have not done for some time, while playing to Benithez's philosophy which is passing build-up game (as compared to the rigid defensive and no width playing style of the bygone regime).

It is important to achieve consistency, after that confidence will start to increase and the above average players will improve themselves in the process and develop a stronger mentality. Benithez has also shown tactical acumen in changing the playing personnel in games to turn things around and has successfully done this of late. This is the main failing of the "highly rated" Houllier and also illustrates how good a coach is - the likes of Ottmar Hitzfeld, Otto Rahagel, Fabio Capello, Marcello Lippi, Jose Maurinho etc. - who has achieved much with teams of small budget/limited talents against bigger sides.

Time will tell if he can bring the title back to Anfield but for the moment, he is takiong the club in the right direction.

Benithez has been called a lucky coach in Spain but luck or not, it is difficult to discount his successes after winning the Primera Liga title on 2 occassions and not just once.
