Figo would've brought good experience, but we'll be fine without him.  Like REDTILLDEAD says, we need committment.  And his salary wouldve been pretty high for a guy that might not always play first team football.

To be honest I would have liked Figo to join, but looks like its definitely off now.  He was only ever going to be a short term option anyway, so we'd have probably needed to sign another right winger next summer to replace him.  Rafa will have plenty of irons in the fire already, I'm sure there'll be a back-up plan.

I've said it before, but I think it'd be worth sticking in a bid for Andy van der Meyde of Inter.
