i believe Figo would be a good acquisition as he will bring along a wealth of experience that will help other players.

we can NOT get him. He ouses class by the bucket load. fk me, I'll be so happy if this one comes off!

Oh by the way, what is Figo's proper position? is he a striker, winger or Central midfielder?

this would be fantastic if rafa pulls it off, when teams come to anfield and put ten men behind ball in the premiership  like the bitters and sunderland and the other :censored: teams at the bottom do every year figo is the man to unlock those stubborn teams with a bit of magic.he is still quality and  his crossing ability is still good for morientes  and cisse to capitalise on.for two million pounds this is an absolute bargain and his presence  and mentality will influence the changing room for the bettern when we have a good go at the premiership.

If he signs, lets hope he's as sucessful.

funny you should mention gary mac jonny. that's why i don't understand any people questioning figo's age and whether he's upto it still. gary mac set the bar for the whole team while he was here and is massively respected throughout the club and still watches us if given the chance. he took gerrard under his wing and helped develop him into the player he is today.

Liverpool move for Figo in doubt

Figo has attracted the attention of several Premiership teams
Liverpool's bid to sign Real Madrid winger Luis Figo has been thrown into doubt after the Spanish side reportedly said they wanted a fee for him.
Figo, 32, has agreed personal terms but is upset that Real are now asking for £2m, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Figo has a year left on his Real deal but it had been thought they would allow him to leave for free.

However, Spanish daily Marca are saying Liverpool have had a £2m bid for Figo accepted by the Bernabeu giants.

Figo cost £37m when he signed from arch rivals Barcelona in August 2000.

Another plus for FIGO is his perfect english and is well known for his intelligence on and off the pitch and is a very well liked person in world football, can only be good for our club. As long as he comes with a positive attitude and not just a easy season on good money, i doubt that he will cos he is honourable!
