Only thing he lacks is the killer past, which players like robinho and kaka has plenty. Also he's not very pacey. Anyway I remember one game when were struggling to break down a team, he came on and did this move like a basketball player, he ran straight at the defender, did a spinning move, lost the marker and scored... that was an amazing individual effort...

When you say past do you mean pass or like past as in history? If you meant pass, I beg to differ

so what... you think he can pass as well as robinho and kaka?

If he could pass as good as Robinho and Kaka why the :censored: would we be debating whether or not he should be be starting more games? All I says is you're not giving him enough credit for his passing game.

Not to forget also his little tricks, movement and dribbling.  :buttrock

The lad deserves a lot of credit for the way he has been performing in 2009. Definitely one of our best players in the second part of the season.

Liverpool ace Yossi Benayoun has revealed he has received offers from clubs in England and Spain, but insists he is happy at Anfield.

The Israel international has enjoyed a memorable season, scoring nine goals in 42 appearances in all competitions to mark his most successful campaign.

That form has caught the eye of a number of clubs, who are hoping to take advantage of the fact that Benayoun is not guaranteed a place in Rafa Benitez's first team.

But the former West Ham player is adamant he does not want to leave Merseyside after two years and has indicated that he would welcome contract talks.

"This has been the best season of my career. I have played a lot of games and scored some important goals, and I am very happy with that," the attacking midfielder told Israeli radio.

Discussions
"At the moment, I am a Liverpool player, and unless something surprising happens, I will remain one. But after such a good season, I have had some offers from England and Spain.

"You have to give that some consideration, so there will probably be some discussions with Liverpool.

"I have had a great two years at Anfield and enjoyed every minute. I have long since accepted that, with one or two notable exceptions, there is no such thing as an automatic choice at Liverpool.

"Unless you are Steven Gerrard, you are going to sit out one or two games, but that is no problem. Stevie is exceptional, and the rest of us accept that.

"The good thing is, I have been playing more, and I hope it continues that way. To be honest, it could be Real Madrid knocking on my door, and I would still rather stay at Liverpool four more years."

It seems that he has some good offers, so now he tries to hammer out a better deal for himself...

Benny is a top lad, all those money hungry footballers out there should take note and see what it is to be proud to play for a club. Benny's been great here and took his opportunities when they've been offered, he hasn't whinged or moaned about it, he's just got his head down and grafted away. Respect Benny :)

If I was Rafa I'd tell Benayoun that he can have a contract extension and improved terms, if he can reproduce the form he showed at the end of last season. Set him a personal target, of course the problem may be if we sign someone who pinches the only position open to Benayoun as taken by himself last season.

And don't forget, other than Gerrard and Torres, he's the last person to score a hat-trick in a Liverpool shirt (well two actually)

Benny will get the 3rd biggest wage in the team according to some media sources in israel.

Good performer and I don't want to loose him. I prefer my footieplayers not being to handsome since it often detracts them from doing what they are paid to do and Benayoun fits that criteria.
