Baros says its rubbish

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think he's a tad disapointed it seems because he was left out of the cup final where as Kewell who is carrying an injury got a start and he didn't.

Who wouldn't want to play in a final of any competion? But he himself has said that what the papers have said is not true. He's disapointed but he understand the decision made by Rafa.

Fair enough on all points .I'd be unhappy if Baros wasn't fed up at being on the bench, just want him to respect the managers tactical decision (even if we don't  :D  :D  :D  )

I think we should be more dissappointed with him. Sometimes he misses clear chances. Like at Cardiff the otherday. He's not convincing as he should be.

Liverpool Echo March 2nd Quotes Baros

I think my time at liverpool is ticking down, I have nothing against Liverpool,Ilove the fans and Iam proud of being able to play here. All I want is to play regularly, if its not going to be here, then I

hope that I get a good offer from elsewhere.

Were to big a club to be held to ransome, show him the door.

Don't why everyone seems so surprised that baros threw his rattle out the pram on Sunday

He talks of his dream club (barcelona) signing him and bad mouths the previous manager (houllier) and we all jump up an down in shock when rumours and quotes /unquotes are banded about.

Anyone with sense can see he is angling for a move.

Completely blown up out of proportion by the media[not anything new]. Baros gets benched and the media who are not used to seeing Liverpools players who usually start get benched, make a big deal out of it.

What player wouldn't be disapointed if he were to be left out of a cup final?

If Baros wanted out he wouldn't had wanted a new contract nor would he had stayed.

He said his dream would be playing for Barcelona and? He supported them as a child apparanetly and he wants to go to Barce he can go [not that Barce would want him as they don't need him].

I don't blame him. While Houllier was here he was always behind Heskey.

This is no ordinary game, it was  a cup final and he didn't start, what player wouldn't be disapointed? I don't think we would be discussing this if it were an ordinary game.

As a player you would want to play in many games as possibly especially in games where you have the opportunity to win a medal and hold up a trophy

No one is criticising the lad for being "Disappointed" as I'm sure Biscan , Potter, Welsh and a lot of the younger players were as well but Baros's reaction wasn't disappointment , it was defiance and talk of other clubs coming in for him can't come soon enough for me . Just an opinion but there you go .....

Someone ought to tell him its  SQUAD game these days !

Again I'll say it, he's gone, i'm guessing in the summer.  We're much much better off with Mellor behind Cisse and M.O.  First off in clutch situations Mellor scores ( is that not enough)  Baros, in clutch situations kicks the ball at the keeper.  Which incidentally he has been doing since he arrived if you have been watching.  ( no it was not the first time, against leverkusen, he's done it plenty of times before.

Then we move on to the issue of attitude, when something does not go his way he whines and complains.  Mellor bucks up and gets on with it.  Baros always seems to have this "why me " look on his face.

Another issue, brought up earlier in this post is his ability to pass, how many times have you seen him head down running the ball to the end and losing it to the last defender.  Never seen Mellor do that, seems to me he realizes it's a team game.

When Baros is not giving the ball away (ala diouf), he is falling down.  One of the games a few weeks ago was a complete joke, I kept saying to my friend, watch this guy every time he gets the ball he will fall down, she thought it was funny and she doesn't know a thing about football.

Don't see Baros lasting.  with Cisse and M.O. Baros is on the bench,, ie,, gone,,,, thank god

Mellor is unworthy to wear the Liverpool shirt. He's not good enough and to say that having Mellor would be better than Baros is incredibly stupid.
