Baros + alonso, total class.......... - Never mind owen, milan is the man!

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby 72-1090627431 » Wed Oct 20, 2004 12:55 am

Ok, so LFC should have been 6-0 at half time, chance after chance squandred, Garcia, BAros, Cisse etc etc first half. What did actually happen 2nd half was what i thought, they were gonna step off the gas and slow up the play, and in the end...the predictable happened.

But you have to say, Baros is a better player than Michael Owen on the ball. Whats so impressive is when he's under pressure on the ball, being pushed kicked etc, the ball is just glued to his feet! his speed, quick thought,  and ability to turn and shoot is a joy to watch. This is what Gerard Houllier was missing last year. You give a guy confidence by playing him for a few games and see what happens. Ok He didnt score but. his play was Awesome. def 9 out of 10. !!!!!
Alonso, again had the audacity to try a shot from the halfway line ...again! The vision of the guy is just formidable. He's a lot better than Jan Molby was ever already in my book, and he's 3 stone lighter than the old pie eater.

They can only get better.

Why are you slagging off Molby and why the comparison ?
Molby was an ok guy, who only ever did good things for LFC.

I'm sure that Alonso can be do better. I saw him running very much without the ball, and he should participated more in the game.
And about Liverpool in general, I saw well defending but with possession they acted rashly.

sorry for my english.

Molby? fabulous footballer. Leave well alone, one of the best. Get the vids out if you don't believe me or better still watch that 'masters' nonsense on the SKY. He's still class now and he's about 25 stone.

Hustler, as much as I think you are an idiot, the way you talk bull is good for this forum, as it encourages discussion.

You must be fifteen and never saw Jan to think Alonso is better now than he ever was. I do think he WILL be better, but not after 10 games surely?

Baros needs to learn to look up more, but better than Owen? come back to me in three seasons, and if he is still here and has scored twenty plus each season, then we will discuss the matter.

however, I thought Baros looked a great player in the making last night. Full of energy & ideas, needs to practice his finishing though.

Yan Molby was a red through and through. He wore the liverbird on his chest and he gave us some great memories - leave him be!
