BARCELONA 1-2 LIVERPOOL - ALL REACTION HERE......

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Scottbot » Sat Dec 16, 2006 1:07 am

My first reaction was 'i'm :censored: with this draw' as i initially preferred to play one of the big dogs in the next round. But then i remember how chuffed I (and everyone else) was when we drew Benfica this time last year and look how that turned out. The underdog tag definately suits us and our league form will have us as massive underdogs with the press and the bookies. Games like this are the reason we all love the game and i'm made up (and bloody jealous!!!) for the lads who will get to go the game for the return leg. The famous old stadium is coming down in a few years so this is a great chance to write another magnificent chapter in Anfield's glorious history. It's no easy feat but the lads have to come away from the Nou Camp with something and then it's up to the fans to drive them on at Anfield.

Does anyone know the timescale on Momo's recovery? We'll need him over there but i think the game(s) might come a little soon for him.

He's our leg-breaking, ground-shaking, ball-taking dynamo and thankfully it looks he'll be fit and raring to go for this one :)

Momo sissoko, he was signed from Valencia. At the moment his is injured with a dislocated shoulder but Sissoko and Kewell should be back for both games (hopefully).

Great tie! Can't wait, especially for the return leg at Anfield.  What an atmosphere it will be!

This is going to be bigger than the tiresome "Chelsea vs Barca" matches.

Because Barca will finally meet an English team with European class and pedigree.
