Once again, that's why Rafa is a great coach, and I'm not more than a humble supporter

Didn't I call it the day before the game Sabes!! but no, Crouch will play you told me! :p

Hey, I try to be honest, that's why I wrote this bit

I got it wrong before the match. I thought Rafa was going to play Crouch

I tried to explain by this that I was wrong in the prediction I made to you  :)

So you're right I told you so, but I already admitted that I was wrong :)

Tut, tut, tut, Lar.

Cause I'm a Scouser, I decide to just say Lar instead of Larrson.  It's what we do.

Thanks Rafa, nearly missed that one. Totally uncalled for.

Y'know I know there's a lot of male macho bonding calling someone out, but at the end of the day this is an internet forum so its a waste of time really isnt it, I mean the idea is to intimidate someone... it doesnt really translate down the airwaves does it?

Concerning anti social behaviour in the ground... again its macho. I was thinking last night, if Shanks had seen such antics he wouldnt have stood for it, and indeed the fans wouldnt have acted that way in the first place.

Imagine your self sitting in the stand at the Nou Camp last night or at a bar in the town centre before the game, on your left sits Shanks, on your right Bob Paisley and in front of you, Emlyn. How would you behave amongst those greats of football? Just becuase they're not there in person doesnt mean you should threaten the reputation of the club, the past greats nor the legions of fantastic fans.

Kinda puts it into perspective doesnt it?  :lookaround

I’ve only had a chance to comment today, a few days after the match, I know curse my name. A truly wonderful performance, in terms of the result, the grit and the determination shown throughout the side. I thought everyone had a fantastic game, I can’t really pick any faults out on any of the players, excellent result. I won’t get too carried away, only half the battle is won.

I see there have been bundles of excuses made, even a pathetic excuse about Ronaldinho being ‘overweight’ and Barcelona missing Eto’o as a possibility for Barcelona losing. Barcelona lost because Liverpool didn’t allow them to get into their usual comfort zone, Barcelona only really looked comfortable for fifth teen minutes after they scored, it was us/Liverpool who was in charge of the match. I thought the defence was excellent and we created our luck as  Javier Saviola had a few good chances, which could have ended up in the back of the net. The performance can be scrutinized and pondered for cracks, but the result is something which cannot be disputed, roll on the next match. After we stuff United at home.

Barca are 3-0 up at half-time against Bilbao.

One was an own goal, and Samuel Eto'o marked his return with a goal before Xavi Hernandez doubled their lead.

Eto'o, the man to watch and mark like a hawk in the second leg.

I thought of posting the same thing about Eto'o but A.B. beat me to it.

He may or may not be at absolutely 100%, but he seems to be close enough and looks sharp. Rijkaard blundered in his handling of Eto'o earlier on. Definitely one fo the main players to watch in the return leg.

He's been involved in all three of their goals and is making everyone else play better.

If anyone is going to make a difference for them at Anfield it will be him. I hope he breaks his f#cking legs next week against Sevilla.

Top player, there're rumours about him, unsurprisingly, being available in the summer after his spat with Rijkaard. He is competitive, lethal and work his socks off for his team, unlike van Horseface who is just a typical predator in the box, and would be a welcome addition if we can get him.

Samuel Eto yes please! He'd be a great addition to any team in the world..an amazing player who has just about everything a forward needs!
The only thing is,he'd be one of the most expensive players in world football today...cash will be available to Raffa but you'd probably be talking £25-35 million!Would he spend that?

Van Horse face.....No thanks, past his best and an ex Manc Scum which is a better reason than any not to sign him...NO WAY!

At first glance that would seem that their problems are over. But I've seen the game for a while and they have the same problems that they had against us. If they didn't score 3 after their first against us is because they had Liverpool F.C. on front of them. But a serious oposition in the recovery of the ball will create them troubles. They are a quality team with superb players but they need sorting out their defensive midfielder position, their wing backs, and find a balance in the team. We defend with all the team, they don't. I'm happy that they're beating my archrivals both because I hate Bilbao as I hate Everton, and because the Barcelona side will be confident again without actually fixing their true problems.
