___

It seems that the top three names that are being distributed about are Ronaldo, Messi and Torres.

Ronaldo and Torres are understandable due to their seasons last season however I do not understand the inclusion of Messi. There is no doubt that he is arguably the best player in the world however he did not do much last year. He was injured for a large part of the season for one thing, did not win or contribute to any major titles (individually, with the national team or Barcelona, etc). I just don't understand why he would be highly considered.

Obviously my bias is towards Torres because I would love for him to win but Ronaldo is going to be tough competition.

Wot the f*ck is Van der sh*te doing in that list
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Hard to see how Ronaldo will not get it.

Bad luck for Torres as in other years he could have won it.

Messi won the Olympic Games, maybe that is their reason.

The diving cheater will surely win it.  :(

For a start, it's amazing how Rooney, Van der W@nk and Vidic can even be considered.

Torres should win it. This is not a biased view either. When you add up the logistics of it, he really does deserve it. Scored the all important winning goal for his country to win the first major title for them in a long, long time, plus his first season at Liverpool was a record breaking one. To move to another country and different football league with a new team with different style of football and yet do so well is a landmark for any player. That other cheating w@nker was already here four seasons, so his 40 goals mean f*ck all IMO. He hits all their pens and free kicks, so no wonder he got as many.

But the diving gayboy is big business for UEFA, as the money generated from his homo-erotic calender sales alone are enough to cancel the 3rd World Debt.

Who'd have thought there were THAT many desperate, inbred gays out there...?
