You just know that under a Ferguson, Wenger or in a smaller club where he's the main man he'd become a much better player..
Rafa likes to get the most of his players by playing them in the right position or giving them the right instructions... Babel needs alot more than that imo... he needs guidance and needs alot of fine tuning to become a better player...
For now he quite simly isnt good enough to start... even as a sub i cant say that he'd make an impact in most of the games he'd come on.... in a perfect world we'd loan him out to a smaller club in the league or a Ajax sort of club where he'd start regularly and probably improve as a player in a year or two... That being said our financial situation means that atm, if he isnt happy with his role in the club, the best solution for both parties would be to get rid for as much as we can get and wish the lad all the best...

I dont know about that mate. Look at when he came in that first season. He made people like Biscan look good and he has done a great job with Kuyt, Stevie and Arbeloa.

He´s a squad player whether he likes it or not.
But he's a centre forward, not a mdfielder and shouldn't be called upon to make many tackles. As a striker/CF, you usually have the ball played to you.
The bottom line is that he's being played out of position and more importantly in a position he's unquestionably not suited to.
I dont remember Kenny or Rushie being pussies.
Dalglish got the boot in, but I don't seem to remember Ian Rush getting his skinnyinvolved in too many tackles

Cant let that go.
Ian Rush was the first line of defence and often came back into midfield to win the ball and start an attack.
I think you need to dust off some of those old videos and stop speaking sh!te about a ledgend.
