I don't want to see him leave because I think he has loads of potential but I would like to see him played together with Torres up front, too pacey strikers, both with a good shot would be devastating, but hey much better to keep playing N'Gog there eh Rafa ???

Hopefully Rafa wiwll read that and take note.

If babel really does believe that...then its best that he goes. IMO, he has been below average this season.

When are you going to give up on the Owen lad? He is never coming back and rightfully so.

He's nowhere near good enough to be in starting 11 end of story.  He doesn't have the right attitude I think he should be sold, only at a high price though.

Who will pay that much for him though? I think 8 or 9 is the best we could get for him. Maybe some Italian club.

Babel has the potential to be a great player in a couple of years. I fear that if we were to give him that we would be kicking ourselves in two or three years when he is really lighting it up.

hes clearly athletically gifted, pace to burn and great strength, but its up for debate wether he possesses the football brain or the attitude to become a truely special player. Articles like this show his attitude isnt changing for the better. I wonder whats dutch for "slapped"?

I think he has potential but I don't know if he'll ever live up to that potential.  Unless Keane or Torres gets hurt though I could never see him consistently playing.  I'd rather sell him and get a natural right wing and have Kuyt as our third striker.. That will never happen though.  :(

Bad Bob wrote:Boo farkin' hoo.  Indifferent attitude on the pitch and zero footballing brain means his place is on the bench as an impact sub--a bit of pace to bring on and run at tired defenses.  If that's not enough for the lad I'm sure there'll be other clubs interested in him.  Sunderland's already got Cisse so their probably going to pass but maybe Wigan or Fulham would like to take a punt? ???

Spot on Bob.

Im sick of all these players :censored: moaning IMO Babel needs to get a lot more bottle an a bit of nounce on the pitch. Hes a big strong lad an should make use of it. I was made up when we signed him but i must admit  for me hes been a let down. An it makes me laugh though when people say hes best as a striker we bought him as a striker so play him there . We bought Kuyt as a striker but wheres he played his best games for us out wide on the right . do you see dirk complaining

An someone mentioned about Rushie not gettin stuck in he didnt need to his team mates done that for him they only needed to get the ball to him and hed score .

Bit over pamperd imo Babel,

Whats all this "he will be a good player in a few years time"! Rubbish I tell you. If he was good enough we would have seen some sort of consistensy by now. I cant believe people called him the next Henry. He isnt good enough to tie Henrys boots. Hell he isnt even good enough to tie Theo Walcotts boots and hes younger ffs. Babel should stop moaning and start showing some quality that everyone thinks he has before he is sent packing which will be soon imo. Since day 1 he has always had that tendancy to at times give the ball away and just run into players. I think he is a case of a player being hyped up beyond his worth and unfortunatley it worked as Rafa got mugged. I remember when we bought him and most dutch fans on here were not even that sad to see him go as he was considered average there too.

When Owen says he's not coming or he transfers to another club.

And on "what's with the few years time" business. He's 21 how can you honestly think the kid has peaked? Game intelligence will come with experience and age. I think by  the end of the World cup he will be a world class player. He just needs to play some regular first team football.

Agree.....& dont want him back, far to injury prone,be just paying silly wages & not getting a good enough return!

2nd - the journo leads the article with 'babel is frustrated with life at liverpool'
3rd - the topic starter says babel is unhappy at liverpool
4th - someone will say that babel can't wait to leave

The thing is, that when one of these articles appear, for instance the Dossena one talking about his financial concerns on the crisis, shortly after, when another news talk about early exits people react with indifference, as in, "off you go then".

These articles do a lot of harm to players.
