Aution for hjc please bid! - Ferry across the mersey record

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby redhayesy » Wed Mar 12, 2008 12:03 am

please everyone on this forum bid for this vinyl single
of "ferry across the mersey" my oldest brother has contacted
gerry at the hjc shop via e-mail, through me, & has pledged
50% of the final aution price to the hjc also minus his fees!!
please bid for this, even if like me you already have a copy it will ensure the donation is great!
this record is on aution for 10 days, so please go for it!
the auction number is 1302048441588.
my brother asked me for my opinion on this, & i gave it to him
straight! as much as i don"t like anything on e-bay
concerned with hillsborough,i think this is a great way
of generaiting not only alot of money for the cause
but raising awarness etc.
as alot of you will know i"m a survivor of hillsborough
& will do all i can to support the hjc, as will all of my family.
my brother saw this single at a car boot sale, & had tears
in his eyes when he bought it! (just says everything about
peoples igornace or un-awarness even to this day)
so please everyone bid for this if you would like
more details, please send me a pm.
thanks in advance, justice for the 96, R.I.P

just to let you all know, my brother has just phoned me to let me know
that the aution has been pulled off e-bay by them! because my brother
has recieved vile abuse, on the questions & answer part of the aution
where some fecking sick b@stard made abusive remarks with swearing
in it towards what my brother was doing for the hjc, that my brother
replied to this remark -not swearing back i might add, that as part of the
e-bay rules swearing isn"t alowed that it has been taken off the site

my brother is absoloutly fuming, angry & totally devestaed about this!
needless to say i was shaking, i"v just stopped crying over this
i"m so upset also very, very angry & don"t want to tell you all about
some of the comments he recieved on e-bay, i asure you it will
have the same effect on you!

the only good thing is that my brother has recieved 4 pledges of money
that he has let gerry know about & i also saw gerry on sat before the
reading game, he is very gratefull to my brother for his effort
& my brother is going to e-mail gerry to let him know what has happened

the highest bidder for the single has also said that they are going away for
a few days, so even if they were not the highest bidder by the end of
the aution they would still pledge money for the hjc.

just to say on behalf of myself & my brother thanks to all those who did
make a bid, i just feel sick to the bottom of my stomach
that the auction was stopped due to fecking evil, sick, & twisted morons
who call themselves human beings!!!!

just to let you all know, my brother has just phoned me,& fantastic news i have
to say- the single raised a massive donation of £50 from the winning bidder
even though the bidding ended at £43.23 the lady who won rounded it up
to £50. + donations from my brother & other people on e-bay, the final
total for the hjc was £125!! i have asked my brother if the people concerned
would give me their e-mail address, so i can thank them personally
if this is not possible, then my brother will thank them for me!

my brother has phoned gerry today et the hjc shop and has sent the cheques
to him today. i can"t tell you all, how pleased i am, especially after all the
abuse he got for doing this!
besides all the generous donations he recieved, it has also raised awarness
again to many people who still aren"t fully aware of what the campaign
is all about, this has re-stored some of my faith in the fact that
for the minority of sick b@stards out there, there are not just genuine
football fans out there, but also genuine kind hearted people who
understand that this campaign for the justice of 96 people
lost their lives so un-necasailly, & that untill justice is done this
will never go away.

once again on behalf of my brother & myself a massive thank you to all
who donated!!
