Agree with almost everything, though i thourght that these were a bit harsh.
Gerrard was a bit isolated early as everything seemed to be going through Kewell. If took a while but after about 30 mins Gerrard could be found all over the pitch and seemed to provide a spark that created several opportunites for Morientes and Fowler (which unfortunately didnt end up putting any away). This was when he changed to more of a roaming role. I thourght that he was at his usual high standards. He was also listed as the Man of the Match of liverpoolfc.tv

I think that subs like Garcia (impact subs) should be judged based on how they impacted on the game in the short period of time that he played. He was sharp, alert chasing everything and put away the only opportunity that he had without really making an error. Surely he deserves at least a 7.5  :;):

Gerrard gave the ball away needlessly four times. His passes were often ahead of the play, he shown tactical naivety that he hasn't shown for years tonight. His forward bursts were timed wrongly aswell.

Luis Garcia deserves a 7 or 8 for 8 minutes on the pitch? Get fucking real.

If you are not going to give a fair representation of how he played then why give him a rating at all? I just think that he should either get a 7.5/8 or a not applicable.

He was on the pitch for 8 :censored: minutes. How can he get a man of the match rating for that? He didn't exactly score a hatrick, he played a couple of passes and scored a goal. Hardly :censored: man of the match criteria, thats like saying if you have a player who starts for 8 minutes, scores, goes off injured then the team loses 8-1 and they all get 3/10 that the player who scored deserved an 8.

Clueless bastard! :no

lol squeeze your stree ball stu.....

I clearly wrote that Gerrard got the man of the match, not Garcia.

Also you did not respond to my suggestion, i said that either give him the rating he deserves for the time that he was one (it is not his fault he didnt play more than 8 mins), or give him a not applicable.
Simple.

why do you insist on attacking anyone that politely questions you? I have always been civil to you and i find it humorous that you insist on being rude to me.

cisse all the time hasnt started regularly and he's goddamn playing on the right wing most of the time and he doesnt have a standard partner up front when he's in the midd, dude imagine eto playing on the wing...

crouch is a good player but the goddamn need to learn how to use his head to score

morientes is dissappointing but he's a good team player but he lacks the lethal striker ability

Not entirely correct. Is it any coincidence that most of these arugements seem to involve Stu the Red? More often than not I think that he plays a positive part on this forum, but sometimes I think that he should be more careful before becoming hostile and abusing people.

The rating thing is :censored:.Football is a team game & all our players did well, fought hard, gave their sweat & the team played attacking, football & we won.
I'll give Liverpool a rating of 8 tonight & that means on-an-average every player deserves an 8.

I was well impressed with us last night. Arsenal were :censored: but i'm not gonna take anything away from us because of it - they still had quality players all over the pitch and we swept them aside.

I don't think i've seen an Arsenal team so comprehensively outplayed before, it was very good to see. The key for me was the intensity/tempo. When they got the ball we were working really hard to press them and win it back - more often than not we did that high up the pitch, giving us a good platform to launch attacks.

The only gripe I have is that we don't show this sort of urgency against the 'lesser' sides at Anfield. If we'd have gone after Brum like this the other week, we'd have been 5-0 up by the time Xabi did his stuff!

All in all, happy though. Bring on the mancs on Saturday.

To be frank Gerrad and Xabi were not at there best last night. I think both should be sit out on Saturday (they both look tired). Play Didi and Momo in the middle and have Garcia & Harry swapping wings.
