Are we good enough to challenge

I expect us to mount a far stronger challenge
The heart says we can win it (but it always does), my head would be disappointed with anything less then 3rd unless we had another of those injury lists which blighted us last season

The Return of the Judge wrote:are we good enough to challange....mmmmmmmmmmmm.....yes, i think so, and i have thought that ever since i can remember supporting lfc.why ask??

so judge does that mean if you're sure (some time in the future) that LFC has no chance to challenge and unlikely to finish higher then 5 or 6th you will not continue to support LFC?

I know this is not what you meant, but i guess he was asking for your reasons for believing LFC are good enough to challenge.

personally I would be happy is over the next 2-3 years we build but maintain top 4 finish, and then dominate EPL and europe......  :eyebrow

when benitez took the job i said that it would take at least three seasons for him to turn us into a title challenging team and i stand by that. realistically, i think we're looking at at fourth (again), possibly third with a bit of luck.

in my mind, arsenal and chelsea will battle it out for the title this season, whilst we will be scrapping with the mancs for third place. chelsea's squad is just phenomenal and arsenal, despite losing vieira, have some of the best youngsters i've seen in ages coming through.
