That's great news. He's been one of the bright spots of our season so far, and it's good to see the level of his performances get recognised.

Good news for him, although I recall Josemi got called up once as well. :D

Albert Reira, who had a spell last season at Man City and was no great shakes, is having a great season in La Liga.

Good news for the lad. Meanwhile Babel gets a calup too to the Dutch team and the hapless Kuyt is dropped. Says alot about the Dutch blonde.

Happy for him, and good news for Liverpool aswell, yes we all know sometimes international games are a mess, but we also know that the player's value increases, which is nice.

Arbeloa has a huge opportunity to be in the european cup, right now the wing back positions are a bit cheap in the Spanish team, unlike the midfield which is crowded with quality and the two strikers, where it's difficult to make it through Torres and Villa.

Hope the lad enjoys the chance and he has luck against France.

Seriously think Kuyt must get out of liverpool if he wants to salvage his career. The longer he stays the worse he becomes. Its a pity because his attitude is 1st class.

He should go back to holland....It will be a win-win situation.

No surprise he wasn't picked for Holland, did Babel make the squad or is he still only part of the Dutch U21 set-up?
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Agreed , he always gives his most on the pitch , helps with the defending , cept he can't score . HE' sthe most hardworking player i've ever seen and yes i agree with you and i hope he does go back to holland , it's a pity to ruin his career , esp when he does not deserve it , he's heart is gold , he's character is top class

This is my arguement with Kuyt, did we spend 10 million on a forward to score or 10 million on a long distant runner?

I can't fault his work-rate, but hard work will only get you so far. He's not up to playing for Liverpool. He's a Dutch Robbie Savage and I'm sure you wouldn't want us to fork out 10 mill on Savage.

Babel is MVB's love child.....(he did call him the next henry)...so the answer is ......YES....he made the full squad.  :p
