I think Dundalk is spot on with what he's said, and also Igor posted a valuable contribution to the thread, but it doesn't take long for insults to fly. There will obviously be disagreements, but as Andy said earlier, it's how the disagreements are portrayed that is the issue here.

At the end of the day, a debate isn't a debate without two sides, but ultimately we are all here for one thing, LFC. It's a bad job if grown human beings, can't leave a disagreement in a thread and unite together behind the club. Another point is that some poster's need to, not necessarily forget the past, but accept the fact that it is the past and look forward and support the club, and other fans, to help make the club successful again.

I do think that the majority of posters on here are passionate about the club, and it's probably why the arguments occur. It is they want what is best for the club, in their own eyes, but someone else see's it differently. But for people to say this and that about the club on a downward spiral, we aren't good enough and things of similar ilk is beyond me, and by the sounds of it, most of you to.

I'm not a prominent poster on here but i do log in to read what's going on a lot so obviously that's more of a perception from the outside looking in, rather than visa-versa that you lot see.

Interesting thread.

I stopped posting here a few months ago (but lurked sporadically) because I got tired of the discussion. Few were interested in a real discussion, and they were lost in the madness of cross-thread arguments, personal attacks and repetition. There was a definite split in opinions - and you were either preaching to the choir, or talking to a brick wall.

With the new season brings new optimism, and the many changes to our team make for an active and interesting forum.

I wish all the best to LFC (and Newkit forums) for the coming season.

Russian doll! Russian doll! (post but one above) Isn't it about time the thread on Russian dolls stopped getting bumped, and started being worth the forum space it occupies................................ ie someone did 'what it says on the tin'

I lurked around a number of forums before choosing this one to join.

Being from the south i was out right off some other forums by people claiming anyone not from liverpool has only supported LFC since C/L win.

I have read people wishing us to lose, even head out of the league. I think its one of two things,

1. They cant stand the club in its current state and will do anything to stop it.

2. They want everyone to think they are an ubber fan and want everyone to pat them on the back.

Forums cause disagreements, which sometimes ends with name calling and fighting. I think in our current standing its acceptable to get upset and feel down now and again. However taking it out on each other or our new manager isnt going to help.
