You not debating, you're contradicting.

I'm gonna say Arbeloa and not Babel. I know. Shocking, isn't it? Here's why:

Babel has been a bit-part player and from what has been asked of him, it's not surprizing that he's been lackluster, but he either offers a shot in the arm to our play, or just some raw energy to spruce things up towards the end of the game.

On the otherhand, Arbeloa is a settled player, or at least he should be, but time and time again it seems he has some kind of phobia to get anywhere near a corner flag in the oppositions half, and when he does, he freaks it and just does some sh*t with the ball like clipping a useless floater into the area where it's often cleared and he's left scurring back like a lunatic, often fouling a player, which is why I think he has picked up more yellow cards than anyone else this season for us, if not in the entire league. I'm not one for stats, but I'm sure I'm not a boot in the balls off either. In short, he's got far more pitch time than Ryan and offered less for it. He's not good enough for us and needs to be dropped to second choice when or if Rafa decides to go for better quality.

I actually quite like Arbeloa and think he's a decent player. He'd be nowhere near my most disappointing. Babel obviously hasn't kicked on, but I'd be torn between ALL of the players we paid 40 million pounds for in the Summer. The only one who has contributed (and even then we are talking improvement on previous rather than resounding success) is Riera. Dossena and Keane were quite obviously awful buys, and a total waste of 28 million quid. the reserve goalie will no doubt go back to where he came from for a million or so at the end of next season, while Degan obviously nobody knows much about because nobodies ever seen him.

My guess is that if any of the signings had been a mega -success, it might have been enough to make the difference.

Of players we already had though, the most obvious disappointment is Babel, who'e attitude stinks. Whether it stinks just because it does, or whether it stinks because we've made it stink I'll guess we'll never know, but it stinks anyway and we should move him on.

My personal choice is Keane.

I expected a lot from him after watching some details the first games, and when you expect pretty much from a player and he fails to deliver in pitch, and you add to that some ego problems, then he becomes the biggest dissapointment in my eyes.

Skrtel for me. Rated him a lot at the start but hasnt had too many good games and has shown the cynical on here about him exactly why they are just that.

I wont have Keane as the worst as I feel he wasnt given a fair crack of the whip. Whenever he scored goals, he was dropped. Then shipped out, strange one that saga.

I guess if I had to pick one it would be Babel although I never rated him everyone else expected him to have a good season and he was horrible.. with Dossena as a close second.

For 20 million i expect a player to score goals and a decent consitent basis - or at least provide high quality atttacking ability and fit smoothly into the club and the prem especially as the player had been playing in the prem for a number of years ? did keane do any of that ?

Oh GYBS
You really didnt like Mr. Keane did you?

"Good point there John about Keane didnt even think of him as he wasnt even a liverpool player that long but to me he wasnt that much of a big disappointment cause i didnt really rate him that much in the first place and could never see what he would bring to us and how he would improve us..."

Rafa did because he bought him. Are you saying Rafa hasnt got a clue?

Let me ask you another question. Do you think Babel is better than Keane?
If so, why?

My Disappointments

1. Babel - i really thought this would be his season
2. Keane - cant be number 1 because he did win us afew games atleast
3. Dossena - from what id seen of him id expected more
4. Lucas - (although hes improved since he got his haircut) read babel 4 reasons
5. no one else has really so ill say injuries 2 Torres, Gerrard, Aurielo & Agger

My erm..Appointments

1. Alonso - Back 2 his best
2. Insua - looks a legend in the making for me
3. kuyt - like the kuyt of 1st season, except he scores
4. Reira - had afew (understandable) dips but been a breath of fresh air
5. Rafas new found love of attacking football weve easily been the best team 2 watch this season

Not saying i dont like - saying i never rated him and could never see what he would bring to our team as he was and is only a decent prem standard striker and i wanted us to get someone better . Do i think rafa got it wrong in signing him - yes - i did at the time and i still do now but its gone now and so is keane .

Do i think keane is better ? well babel has more talent and natural ability but keane applies his talent a lot better so performing better than babel .

So

Youre not saying you didnt like Keane, so that means you did like him?
Youre saying you never rated him but he is a decent prem player?
You couldnt see what he could bring to the team so Rafa is a muppet for buying him?
You say Babel has more talent but Keane applies his talent and performs better?
And yet we kept Babel and got rid of Keane...

Phew what a mind you have there

well its not hard really is it

Keane - I didnt think he was good enough for us and wouldnt improve us - as a player and it seemed his personality didnt mix well with the team . I didnt call Rafa a muppet now did i - i just said i thought he was wrong in buying him . Im pretty sure if rafa was offered 15 mil for babel he would of taken it but he wasnt he was offered it for keane so keane left and if a decent fee is given for babel during the summer then i expect him to be off as well . Yes i think keane is a decent prem player - ie decent enough for a mid table team like spurs where he can be the main man but not the quality of attacking player for a top 4 club like liverpool .
